how does the ecuadorean goverment allows FARC safe haven? when in fact ecuador has 11000 troops s stationed along the border twice as many as Colombia, how is colombia justified to strike ecuador's border? when they are the ones who WONT or cant resolve their OWN problem in spite receiving billions of dollars from the US through Plan Colombia..
The FARC operate from Ecuador which means one of two things: A) That they are allowed to stay in and operate from Ecuador, or B) Ecuador cannot control its border with Colombia. For Correa to verbally support the FARC while denying he assists or at least tolerates them is a LIE.
@willbond now you are nothing, why, cocaine exporter country ;are more important for you than dignity,,,, o; i know why because drugs are more important for some dummys
@XdimegunsX "Some dummys"? Your response is weak. Why do Correa and Chavez help the FARC? It is pathetic the way they deny it when confronted with the evidence. Ask a Colombian. They will tell you what they think of your Marxist Drug Smuggling Kidnapper friends.
@willbond now you change the word ,dignity for marxist,i dont understood why stupid people just because some presidentes are honest, they think they are comunist, estupid gringos ,learn spanish language and read sergios and rauls comments, ecuadorian people are very honest and we never think how to steal other countries resources like you usually do .
Number 1: Ecuador is NOT the one morally obliged or not in the least LEGALLY obliged to control its border with colombia, you seem to forget that FARC are part of Colombia not Ecuador. and number two: i would like to know where you got that Correa verbally supports FARC when in fact what he has said is that base on the first amendment of the constitution nobody could be jailed for sympathizing with others, just because you don't condemn the acts of FARC that doesnt make u a terrorist..
@guayacafly The Ecuadoran government allows FARC safe haven. Colombia is justified to strike across the border if Ecuador won't or can't do anything about them.
@willbond base on the constitution of ecuador he cant put in jail or prosecute someone for the mere fact of symphatizing to others, thats called freedom of speech, freedom to think.. freedom to express yourself which of course doesnt give you the green light to commit the acts of terror so common within FARC.. i dont know you are protected under this right in your country but in mine: Ecuador is still in force..

@TheRichestCadaver I agree with you. and now the anti-democratic opposition is accusing Correa of "trying to make a coup in himself". Oh give me a break. Clearly they are trying to do the same thing that happened in South America during the Cold War. But now is not working :)
It was a self-coup, similar to Chavez’s and typical of the SCAMS of the Marxist thugs who are destroying Latin America. More than 8 people have already died because of Correa’s self-coup!
The objective of the scam? To justify additional repression.
Correa, as the rest of the Latin American Marxist thugs, is following Fidel Castro's example.

Calm down boy. The reality is not black or white. Wether socialism nor capitalism have to be the ultimate answers to the way how a country has to be governed. The translator skipped an important part: Correa said "They are based on interests to propose that certain countries are super-heroes and that other countries that are independent are villains"
Secondly, why has unbridled socialism and communism failed? The flaw in human character that is greed, self-interest, and lust for power. The species is too immature for complete manifestations of socialism or capitalism. But look at Canada, Finland especially and some others for examples that work.
I think socialism is not a problem, but the autoritarism and the interest in beeing in the power for long periods, THAT is the main problem, Not matter if you are socialist or capitalist. Extreme examples are shown with Bush (capitalist) or Fidel (comunist) or Hittler (nazism) or Chavez (Neo-socialist).

I wouldn't be surprised, though, if it ended much the same as with Roldos. United fruit wanted to exploit Guatemala, so Arbenz is overthrown and replaced with a dictator who lets them rape the country. correa is nothing a but a terrorist supporter. i cheered when colombia kicked the crap out of correas buddies, FARC. that was beautiful , going into ecuadorian territory. uribe should have kept going str8 into quito
According to Ecuador, we have a the most powerful armed forces after Brazil. And I believe this because that was a remimder that ecuador sent to colombia, and colombia didn't rebuttal.
Ecuadorean president have explained and have challenged those accusations. He is willing to sumit himself through the united nations and abandon the presidency if actual facts and evidence is presented that he's a FARC contributer. You're just a righ-wing cheerleader who doesn't understand reason, dumb.
correa is the best prez??? how? by taking money from ppl who work? he is a socialist he cant be any good. if cared for ecuador, he would make it a free market capitalistic economy.
where is all the money going to come from for correas socialistic agenda? you need money and ecuador isnt exactly overflowing with wealth
And who you think it's exploiting the wealth?!, uh!
Yes, it's the united states and their ecuadorian oligarchy who want to freeze capital in their pocket and not share it where it came from!. A nation's economy must invest where it's needed. It must take care of the crumbling areas so there's a balance of humanity and progress, everything else will take it's natural course from there. But that's something that a myopic, raving capitalist like you just won't understand!.
My Country's Constitution (as most european ones) states that all mineral resources found or to be found belong to all and only our Country's citizens... and I absolutely agree with it. Why shouldn't it be the same in Latin America? My own Country's economical interests and energetic needs are threatened by bolivarian nationalizations... but, what is fair here, is fair there... or isn't anywhere....
@doug1863 , ! "If he cared for ecuador, he would make it a free market capitalistic economy".... Would you mind trying to find any reason to support such a statement? Is "yours" a "conclusion" (and actually "yours"... or did you come to that "conclusion" just because you've heard that axiomatic slogan too many times?
actually i live the capitalist experience. lets face it, ecuador isnt exactly a wealthy country, so going by the SOP of socialism, increase spending, raise taxes to pay for it, and then do it all ovr again, doesnt work. where is the money going to come from? also i am guessing you like socialism, so i guess you do not have a problem with the govt having the power now, to take the property from citizens. socialism doesnt work, it never gives or makes wealth for the "poor", only capitalism can
I don't know where you live... I've never even been in Ecuador... It's just that I don't trust international media.... but, tell me, Weren't socialist countries poor before they became socialist? And.... Aren't there poor countries with capitalist governments? Personally I'm living in an actually capitalist Country (even though its government is so-called "socialist") and have always had and seen economical problems around me....
if you were there ore anywhere else as a tourist, or as a civilian's massive killer, or as a prisioner's torturer and rapist (as you could have been in Iraq), I'm afraid your contact with ecuador's population and reality could get a bit biased....
you say "It never makes wealth for the "poor", only capitalism can".... well, that's not true, man, check your school books on History.... URSS became the world's second potence during socialist it was poorest in zar's times..... and became poor again after the collapse of their system.... and China? Is not China becoming rich and powerful? I thank you for your politeness,
you need to read and watch the videos from the USSR, and look at the lines to buy RATIONED food. china is now more capitalistic, economically than communist. thats why they are having an up swing in their standard of living, and i will bet every dollar i have that its higher than ecuadors
If there is not food enough, rationing it seems logical tome. Yes, I want your opinion. As I said, I just don't trust "international" media. I'm absolutely certain we all are being manipulated by them. I only want to collect data I can trust from real witnesses.
you need to ask yourself, why in the country that really used socialism, russia, why would there be any sort of rationing??? and yet in america, there isnt,. the only time there was rationing of any type. was during the depression. and that was because of socialist policy from roosevelt
@doug1863 , I don't need to ask myself why people die when their heads are severed from their bodies. They needed rationing because some resources were still too limited. But before revolution, there was almost nothing to ration...it's you who should ask yourself something. Why socialism thrived s manages to
@doug1863,. maybe it's you who should ask yourself something.... Would a communist revolution ever thrive in a wealthy and prosperous Country? Would ever its masses support it? Of course not. AND THAT'S PRECISELY WHY . "Socialist countries are poor" because they were poor already when socialism arrived. They were in fact so extremely poor that they decided to claim for revolution. All that mess and poverty can't just get fixed in three days.
@doug1863 , Where there were no infrastructures or industry at all (and most were nude and starving), say, 15 years ago, the fact that today's population is beginning to claim for such things as democracy or luxury or profit just means that their basical needs are satisfied enough to allow them changing their parent's minds. Their very today's dissatisfaction is precisely the key evidence that those socialistic regimes SUCCEEDED.
@doug1863 , They're still poor, but by no means to the extent that made them claim for bread and justice 15 years ago, instead of claiming just for profit as they are doing now. They can dream now of profit and luxury because they don't have to dream of eating a bowl of soup three times a week and stop walking barefoot in the snow ...as they used to dream in the times when they supported revolution.
I want your opinion and anyone's if you are or have been living there for a long time, and not as a tourists. It's true that China is becoming a bit capitalistic, but why? What made that possible, if not the background created by former historical facts? I really want opinions.....what I don't want are slogans, that are the only thing you can get from media
as far as china is concerned, it is logical that they become capitalistic. more money is brought into the govt than through socialism. capitalism gives incentive to make money, and the govt , of course will be there with its hands held wide open for its share of something, it didnt do a damn thing to produce
@doug1863 , it is not a WHY, but a WHAT FOR And it is not the same. You cannot be serious when you say Mao didn't do a damn thing to improve China's economy. Or I guess in the The States (Now I know where you come from) not only CNN news, but also schoolbooks are biased and censored. So you had been never taught what happened in China. Communism paved the way. It made it possible, and that was precisely the idea.
@doug1863 Genius! We can have more money but it is not going to be distributed to our people (I'm Ecuadorian). Capitalism had killed thousands of people all over the world, because now it is "better" to profit but to actually develop. Socialism is not the answer but it looks after people, non profit. We don´t need your fucking money. We need intelligence, technology and empowerment
@aganon77 how many ppl have died under socilaism, how many have had their land stolen, in the name of equality? how many have had their standard of living made stagnate? how many ppl have died under socialism gone crazy, you know it as communism? if you are looking for perfection, you will not find it. capitalism is the berst hope for freedom and LIBERTY
@alfonsoneto1985 what the hell are you babeling about??!! just remember everytime you buy something or get paid, its yankee money that keeps your eco afloat. btw how did you enjoy ur POLICE RIOTING last week???
@alfonsoneto1985 YOU may not want it, but others do, unless you want to go back to the sucre and see your eco collapse, go ahead, it will not affect my life. as far as looking for vampires, correa is one sucking the money out of the wallets of the police and they found him and shot tear gas in his face,, that has nothing to do the usa, thats all your fault and that stupid socialism way of thinking. you guys want to live under a system of govt that has NEVER worked, go ahead.
@doug1863 You really think that you are free? You are propierty of a few rich people... You are a sclave, you have to work for money to pay your bills, fucking sclave. What freedom you are talking about? Wake up, read something about your own history, dont keep only watching FOX NEWS>
@alfonsoneto1985 once again because i have you backed into a corner, you cant defend that socialist thug correa, so what does my freedom have to do with the topic? actually i am free, and for your information, its the rich ppl that supply jobs, directly and indirectly to those who arent rich. and i will keep watching fox, which is on right now on my tv, you know what a tv is? one of those little things a RICH person had built in his factory, with non rich workers, helping them
@doug1863, NO thinking Ecuadorian believes Correa. As Correa controls the media, most "NEWS" were Correa's LIES.
Correa was NEVER kidnapped. Drs. Gilberto Calle y Fernando Vargas, who were at the hospital with Correa, said, "twice we asked him to leave the hospital, but he refused to leave."
The police had complaints, but NOT a coup!
Most of those "defending" Correa on the streets and the blogs are part of his MOBS, paid to parrot whatever lies and propaganda they are asked to parrot.
@Antonio33s thanks for responding, but sadly there are more than enough ecuadorians who do believe this guy. one of them is on this page, his name is alfonsoneto1985
@Antonio33s Do you even live in Ecuador?? Your words speak loudly about your ignorance. There hasn't been a government more distanced from mainstream media than Correa's. Second Fernando Vargas and Gilberto Calle were directors of the hospital, they are part of ecuadorian police. Its once again the fight between conservatives and the reality.
and don't mean to be impolite with you... but let me suggest you to check News and History books as much as you get exposed to U.S.A. propaganda.... China and URSS suffered political repression, censorship and so... but, economically, they actually did THRIVE thanks to socialism.....
ussr and china suffered political repression? from whom? their own govts. both russia and china are capitalistic economically . the china and russia that exist now would be totally alien to mao and lenin
by they socialistic govts., of course. But the political collapse of URSS meant its economical disaster. It is capitalistic. But.... China! What and who paved the way to these changes? Maybe China's Emperor and his harem, from his Heavenly Palace? And... Is China capitalistic? Is it? I've read here that Obama is a socialist.... Is China now "democratically" capitalistic while USA is bolchevist? You all are really puzzling me to madness...
Russia is poor again, but China (a feudalistic empire where children usually were sold as slaves and whose population usually died of starvation just until Mao came up) is now competitive and full of rich people, and is in fact becoming a dangerous competitor to USA
I wish you forgive my ignorance. Wasn't it capitalistic before him? Just in case I'm not wrong.... What 's the point of trying to mend a messed Country by "making" it capitalistic .... when it already is?

correa is nothing but a whore for chavez, and morales is correa's whore. all 3 of them are losers. they are for only themselves and not the ppl. if any of them had any balls, they would side with PRESIDENTE URIBE
First of all, I'm not socialist. And as a matter of fact, ignorant raver, the vast mayority of latin american countries are capitalists, and look at them, all messed up. Ecuadorian president might be socialist, but he's not implementing real socialist practices, just some vague things. I am here because I need a better pay, and we both need each other, without immigrants, the U.S. would collapse. But that's something a myopic ranter can't understand, you're a joke.... and it's not funny.

correa is the best prez??? how? by taking money from ppl who work? he is a socialist he cant be any good. if cared for ecuador, he would make it a free market capitalistic economy.
where is all the money going to come from for correas socialistic agenda? you need money and ecuador isnt exactly overflowing with wealth
doug1863 2 years ago

My own Country's economical interests and energetic needs are threatened by bolivarian nationalizations... but, what is fair here, is fair there... or isn't anywhere....
macarenarojo 2 years ago
@doug1863 , ! "If he cared for ecuador, he would make it a free market capitalistic economy".... Would you mind trying to find any reason to support such a statement? Is "yours" a "conclusion" (and actually "yours"... or did you come to that "conclusion" just because you've heard that axiomatic slogan too many times?
macarenarojo 2 years ago
actually i live the capitalist experience. lets face it, ecuador isnt exactly a wealthy country, so going by the SOP of socialism, increase spending, raise taxes to pay for it, and then do it all ovr again, doesnt work. where is the money going to come from? also i am guessing you like socialism, so i guess you do not have a problem with the govt having the power now, to take the property from citizens. socialism doesnt work, it never gives or makes wealth for the "poor", only capitalism can
doug1863 2 years ago
I don't know where you live... I've never even been in Ecuador... It's just that I don't trust international media.... but, tell me, Weren't socialist countries poor before they became socialist? And.... Aren't there poor countries with capitalist governments? Personally I'm living in an actually capitalist Country (even though its government is so-called "socialist") and have always had and seen economical problems around me....

I HAVE BEEN ECUADOR
doug1863 2 years ago
if you were there ore anywhere else as a tourist, or as a civilian's massive killer, or as a prisioner's torturer and rapist (as you could have been in Iraq), I'm afraid your contact with ecuador's population and reality could get a bit biased....
macarenarojo 2 years ago
you say "It never makes wealth for the "poor", only capitalism can".... well, that's not true, man, check your school books on History.... URSS became the world's second potence during socialist it was poorest in zar's times..... and became poor again after the collapse of their system.... and China? Is not China becoming rich and powerful? I thank you for your politeness,
macarenarojo 2 years ago
you need to read and watch the videos from the USSR, and look at the lines to buy RATIONED food. china is now more capitalistic, economically than communist. thats why they are having an up swing in their standard of living, and i will bet every dollar i have that its higher than ecuadors
doug1863 2 years ago
If there is not food enough, rationing it seems logical tome. Yes, I want your opinion. As I said, I just don't trust "international" media. I'm absolutely certain we all are being manipulated by them. I only want to collect data I can trust from real witnesses.
macarenarojo 2 years ago
you need to ask yourself, why in the country that really used socialism, russia, why would there be any sort of rationing??? and yet in america, there isnt,. the only time there was rationing of any type. was during the depression. and that was because of socialist policy from roosevelt
doug1863 2 years ago
@doug1863 , I don't need to ask myself why people die when their heads are severed from their bodies. They needed rationing because some resources were still too limited. But before revolution, there was almost nothing to ration...it's you who should ask yourself something. Why socialism thrived s manages to
macarenarojo 2 years ago
@doug1863,. maybe it's you who should ask yourself something.... All that mess and poverty can't just get fixed in three days.
macarenarojo 2 years ago
@doug1863 , Where there were no infrastructures or industry at all (and most were nude and starving), say, 15 years ago, the fact that today's population is beginning to claim for such things as democracy or luxury or profit just means that their basical needs are satisfied enough to allow them changing their parent's minds. Their very today's dissatisfaction is precisely the key evidence that those socialistic regimes SUCCEEDED.
macarenarojo 2 years ago
@doug1863 , They're still poor, but by no means to the extent that made them claim for bread and justice 15 years ago, instead of claiming just for profit as they are doing now. They can dream now of profit and luxury because they don't have to dream of eating a bowl of soup three times a week and stop walking barefoot in the snow ...as they used to dream in the times when they supported revolution.
macarenarojo 2 years ago
I want your opinion and anyone's if you are or have been living there for a long time, and not as a tourists. It's true that China is becoming a bit capitalistic, but why? What made that possible, if not the background created by former historical facts? I really want opinions.....what I don't want are slogans, that are the only thing you can get from media
macarenarojo 2 years ago
as far as china is concerned, it is logical that they become capitalistic. more money is brought into the govt than through socialism. capitalism gives incentive to make money, and the govt , of course will be there with its hands held wide open for its share of something, it didnt do a damn thing to produce
doug1863 2 years ago
@doug1863 , it is not a WHY, but a WHAT FOR And it is not the same. You cannot be serious when you say Mao didn't do a damn thing to improve China's economy. Or I guess in the The States (Now I know where you come from) not only CNN news, but also schoolbooks are biased and censored. So you had been never taught what happened in China. Communism paved the way. It made it possible, and that was precisely the idea.
macarenarojo 2 years ago

@alfonsoneto1985 you mean the like the way YOUR POLICE hunted down castro junior and shot him in the face with tear gas???? LMAO
doug1863 1 year ago
@doug1863, NO thinking Ecuadorian believes Correa. As Correa controls the media, most "NEWS" were Correa's LIES.
Correa was NEVER kidnapped. Drs. Gilberto Calle y Fernando Vargas, who were at the hospital with Correa, said, "twice we asked him to leave the hospital, but he refused to leave."
The police had complaints, but NOT a coup!
Most of those "defending" Correa on the streets and the blogs are part of his MOBS, paid to parrot whatever lies and propaganda they are asked to parrot.

@Antonio33s thanks for responding, but sadly there are more than enough ecuadorians who do believe this guy. one of them is on this page, his name is alfonsoneto1985
doug1863 1 year ago
@Antonio33s Do you even live in Ecuador?? Your words speak loudly about your ignorance. There hasn't been a government more distanced from mainstream media than Correa's. Second Fernando Vargas and Gilberto Calle were directors of the hospital, they are part of ecuadorian police. Its once again the fight between conservatives and the reality.

and don't mean to be impolite with you... but let me suggest you to check News and History books as much as you get exposed to U.S.A. propaganda.... China and URSS suffered political repression, censorship and so... but, economically, they actually did THRIVE thanks to socialism.....
macarenarojo 2 years ago
ussr and china suffered political repression? from whom? their own govts. both russia and china are capitalistic economically . the china and russia that exist now would be totally alien to mao and lenin
doug1863 2 years ago
by they socialistic govts., of course. You all are really puzzling me to madness...
macarenarojo 2 years ago
Russia is poor again, but China (a feudalistic empire where children usually were sold as slaves and whose population usually died of starvation just until Mao came up) is now competitive and full of rich people, and is in fact becoming a dangerous competitor to USA
macarenarojo 2 years ago
I wish you forgive my ignorance. Wasn't it capitalistic before him? Just in case I'm not wrong.... What 's the point of trying to mend a messed Country by "making" it capitalistic .... when it already is?

doug1863 2 years ago
First of all, I'm not socialist. And as a matter of fact, ignorant raver, the vast mayority of latin american countries are capitalists, and look at them, all messed up. Ecuadorian president might be socialist, but he's not implementing real socialist practices, just some vague things. I am here because I need a better pay, and we both need each other, without immigrants, the U.S. would collapse. But that's something a myopic ranter can't understand, you're a joke.... and it's not funny.
