During the 2008 Election, Republicans did everything they could to distant themselves from Bush's policies for the fact that everyone, including the GOP, knew Bush's policies (the Tax cuts by reconciliation) Did NOT WORK. In fact, it has never worked. Reagan tried it and more debt, Bush Sr=more debt & GW=extreme debt.
