very very nice. this person should be made incharge of educational establishment of pakistan especially the history department. I didnt see the complete show whilst from the 20 mins I saw I feel Mr Sethi is adding more fuel to ambiguity than clearing the air of disinformation. Pakistan was coined by Ch Rehmat Ali in 1933 not 1940 in his famous pamphlet "Now or Never". Moreover Lahore resolution started from 22nd and not 21st March. I think Mr Sethi needs to refurbish his knowledge on history. He has just copy pasted all from KK Aziz's book without going to the book throughly.

(3) If we take the first letter of the provinces in north western provinces and "tan" take we from Balochistan then it gives a meaningfull name to the proposed state for muslims. There is a core difference between India and Pakistan and a good example that illustrates this is the fact that the Hindus and Sikhs that left Pakistan and moved to India are fully assimilated and are economically prospering, whereas the Mohajir's are still having difficulty in creating a economic future and well being in Pakistan. Think about why that is?

The point is that things are not perfect in India, but there is a large liberal Hindu population that softens the hatred of the minority Hindu fundamentalists. Fortunately, the Muslims in India have also become a lot more liberal in my opinion over the last thirty or so years, but we need more Muslim liberals. The Indian subcontinent is very diverse, ethnically and religiously and we have no option but to promote peace.

Listen India is a diverse country and we have no choice but to live in peace and harmony, we have various ethnic groups and regional and cultural differences. The Muslims in India are growing in a relatively free environment, I am not saying it is perfect. We have to foster peace, there is no alternative. Even in Pakistan, which is an Islamic republic, there are muslims killing each other, the root cause of that is a culture of hatred.

@yhuss2000 dude in a history of 64 years and with a population of 800+ million hindus and 150+million muslims 3 incidents of communal nature are a thumping victory for secularism. no society is perfect but just 3 incidents of communal-ism in a country of such demographics is amazing. most of india is secular.and as time goes by, india becomes more and more plural not less. the opposite is true in pak where taseer gets killed for defending a christian women and the killer is glorified dor it!!

Unfortunately Pakistan has created a culture of hatred in their country that is coming back to haunt them. Arun Shourie gave examples of teaching urdu alphabet to children in Pakistan school books: it shows the letter kaf and the word kafir and a picture of a hindu priest, and zeem se zalim and a picture of a Sikh. When this is what is being taught to the kids you can imagine what that would do when they grow up. I am all for Pakistanis being proud of their country, but don't teach hatred.

I did get my education in Punjab Pakistan and i never heard and saw any hatred against Sikhs or stuff like Q sai Kafir....Besides atleast people in Punjab know that Sikhs were from them as well and they are the same people and speak same Language so how they can be like that. I think the things you are referring to may be an isolated event but i have never seen it in any Government schooling and in text books .

@MrDesiPak Listen to Hasan Nisar, when he says that in history classes no one is taught about Ashoka and the Gandharva dynasty. It is all about the Muslim invaders. The invaders came to India to plunder and loot, and they succeeded, but they also converted people by the sword, and also people who were unhappy with Hinduism. But what are we going to do, we can either have respect for each other or continue the path of hatred.

@prabhatpalpal great work for backing up with facts. Indian history books are very balanced, in fact I think they go to the other extreme by ignoring the brutalities of Muslim invaders. They were barbarians and I don't expect anything different, but we are not going to lie about it.

@rgindia Well you are ingorant then then.Dr Sharmila Bose was the Director of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University.and just search on google for her articles like "Anatomy of Violence: Analysis of Civil War in East Pakistan in 1971" where she Debunked claims of Indian Media Deceit in a righty manner that over exaggerated the claims of Pakistani Army Atrocities in Bangladesh .Also for ur info her grandfather is Sarat Chandra Bose who is a very famous in India.
