@Carlosalbertouno just want you to check Manny's weight during fight night with Marquez in 2008 and his fight night weight with Cotto in 2009. It will show you the true weight gain over that period. You actually base it on the weigh-in weight taken a day before that is why you are so amazed by that 17lbs difference in such a short period of time, it only means that Manny is less dehydrated in Cotto's fight than in Marquez II fight which will contribute to performance in the ring as well.

what does that tell you? it means that MP is very dehydrated that he has to rehydrate 16lbs of water the following day which means he is struggling with the 130lbs weight limit. If he was knocking people out with jabs and straight left leads, i would question him but he is hitting people from angles you dont see. That is key. If you ever boxed, its understandable.

Ofcourse, there are exceptions to every rule; however, it is my opinion that Pacquiao's ability to keep his massive punching power as he goes up in weight is not natural. On another note, consider this: Marion Jones always passed her olympic drug testing.

Punching power mostly comes from how much torque your body can generate. You know this. Meaning he has amazing core strength. This is nothing new.

@13rataclan I spent 6 weeks in Pune (pronounce Poona) India. After about two weeks there I would not leave my hotel. The office was inside the the Hotel, so I never had to leave it for work. To see the poverty and inhumane conditions the people live in was very depressing. I also got lectured by the hotel manager because I gave some kids outside the hotel gate food. He said now they will beg and bother every white person who walks outside the confines of the hotel.

@Carlosalbertouno just want you to check Manny's weight during fight night with Marquez in 2008 and his fight night weight with Cotto in 2009. It will show you the true weight gain over that period. You actually base it on the weigh-in weight taken a day before that is why you are so amazed by that 17lbs difference in such a short period of time, it only means that Manny is less dehydrated in Cotto's fight than in Marquez II fight which will contribute to performance in the ring as well.

what does that tell you? it means that MP is very dehydrated that he has to rehydrate 16lbs of water the following day which means he is struggling with the 130lbs weight limit. With Cotto fight, he doesn't need to lose any weight which makes him very healthy. now, stop with that 130lbs and 147lbs =17lbs weight gain in 14months, it doesn't mean anything.

@Carlosalbertouno What are you talking about? Pac has NEVER made weight during his last recent fights. When he fought marquez, he weighed in at 129. When he fought hatton, he weighed at 138. When he fought cotto, 144. So he doesnt even make the weight. But he showed up at those fight nights around the same weight anyway, 146-148. So what 17lbs are you talking about?? He never weighed in at 147 yet. When he fights margarito at 150, i bet he will come in at 148 and still knock him out.

@Carlosalbertouno He didnt fight at featherweight in 08, that was SUPERfeatherweight, 130lbs. He showed up mid 140lbs on fight night anyway. Which he still does today. And if you look at all of pacquiaos knockdowns/outs, its all from off angle ranges. Thats where you can knock any opponent out. If he was knocking people out with jabs and straight left leads, i would question him but he is hitting people from angles you dont see. That is key. If you ever boxed, its understandable.

I didn't say featherweight. I said super-featherweight. It's in my post. Also, he doesn't KO or TKO just from angles. Look at his fights against Hatton and Cotto... And yes, I've boxed before. Not fights; just sparred. But more than anything, I am educated on the subject. Also, my little brother has been boxing for a little over four years now and is a pretty decent amateur. I don't say Pac is on PEDs because I dislike him, I say it because his retention of power is simply not natural.

@Carlosalbertouno MP is a natural 140-145lbs guy with a middleweight punching power.Punchers are born,not made and they are few w/c makes them sometimes unnatural.Tyson is small for a heavyweight but packs the strongest punch than most of the biggest heavyweights in boxing history. And i say in the whole boxing history. That is one bad ass puncher born there, Lewis can punch but surely cannot compare to the power of mike in his prime. it is even worse if opponents didn't see it coming

@Carlosalbertouno Sorry, i missed the "super" part in featherweight. If you look at his previous knockdowns, they were all from outside the visual range. The uppercut to cotto. The sweeping left hook that knocked hatton out cold. The brutal beating he gave diaz which eventually made diaz crumble. The short inside left cross he gave marquez at 130. This is not questionable. These were legit punches which shouldnt raise a flag of wonder.

That is not true. For the most part, as fighters go up in weight they lose power. Ofcourse, there are exceptions to every rule; however, it is my opinion that Pacquiao's ability to keep his massive punching power as he goes up in weight is not natural. I'm not the only one who feels this way. There are numerous fighters, trainers, reporters, and educated fans who feel the same way... On another note, consider this: Marion Jones always passed her olympic drug testing.

A couple of quick searches on youtube and/or google will attest that. The guy spars 15 minute rounds. He gets beaten with a stick. The guy always had power. Look at his forarms, look at his torso. Punching power mostly comes from how much torque your body can generate. You know this. Meaning he has amazing core strength. This is nothing new.

@Carlosalbertouno I think the most logical explanation about MP's performace as he goes up in weight is that boxers tend to be at their sharpest if they fight at their natural weights where they don't have to starve themselves just making weight.MP has punching power and fast speed we all know that, those punches that they don't see are what hurts them. If you saw his fights at heavier weights it was the accumulation of blinding punches that hurt them, except Hatton.U boxed so u must know.

@13rataclan I spent 6 weeks in Pune (pronounce Poona) India. After about two weeks there I would not leave my hotel. The office was inside the the Hotel, so I never had to leave it for work. To see the poverty and inhumane conditions the people live in was very depressing. I also got lectured by the hotel manager because I gave some kids outside the hotel gate food. He said now they will beg and bother every white person who walks outside the confines of the hotel.

I can see Hopkins dropping him with counters all night. Had this rematch happened before RJJ dropped to LHW to fight Tarver, it would have been MUCH better and Jones would have destroyed him again.

yeah not all thsoe fighters were in the prime. calzaghe fought everyone in his divison and held a title for almost 12 years. khan's title is actally a world title unlike pacmans who has the ibo title at that weight. only lightweight who can prob beat khan right now is marquez, maybe miadana and ortiz. everyone else would get sweeped. alot of those fighters you named were not all big name fighters when tyson fought them. you keep mentioning khan got knocked out.
