Palin cancelled the bridge to nowhere AFTER the federal funding changed and more than doubled Alaska's costs. It thus APPEARS that she did not cancel the bridge out of opposition to corrupt federal earmarks but BECAUSE the amount of pork was going to be less than expected. I wish we had an opponent of earmark spending. Palin's fitness for office is thin enough without this claim of being a reformer going the same place as the bridge.
