2000 - 2002 nissan has build best cars ever. I'm driving a 2001 Nissan Primera Station and it runs smoothy with 1.8l 114hp after 10 years and over 100.000 kilometers. Nice review about the frontier :)

Nothing was wrong with that 5.7 vortec,my friend took awesome care of it.i t was the lighter weight of the ranger and the 5 speed auto trans the kept it in the sweet spot for that 4.0 liter.i was going off of 0 to 60 specs from motortrend too b4 i told him this ranger will beat you and i was right.i guess it didnt totally waste that 350 vortec but it was faster.

why would you get a midsize pickup that gets 17mpg highway when a full size pickup like the ram 1500 and Ford F-150 get 20+mpg highway you get more space more comfort better offroad handling and better MPG whats not to love?

the way I see it, it's better for the motor anyway, since it's supercharged, it's a high compression engine just like my 3800 S/C v6. Runs better and burns a lot hotter therefore you can get more mpg from it. I'm kinda surprised it gets 14mpg city for a compact truck this size.

This truck is no faster than a ranger with a 5 speed auto of the same year.The 4.0 sohc ranger in my ex gf's 4x4 ext cab beat a 350 vortec full size ext cab 4x4 in a drag race pretty easily 2 times back to back.
