I live in the DC area and yes there are a lot of poor black people but also there are a lot of poor hispanic people. However, there are middle class and upper middle class black people and hispanic people also. People just need to take advantage and get education and skills so they can move up. There are a lot of programs.

I'm black and grew up in the DC suburbs on the Virginia side and it's like so rich there. It's strange to see this because DC is also home to the largest amount of high income blacks on the Maryland half and it's like rich there. We went out in DC often. So I lived in a bubble and never have seen anything like this. I guess there really is another Washington. I'm glad to have seen this. And PS...They betta praise on Al Jazeera tv...for the world to see.
