With out a doubt this movie is still my favourite of all time. Nothing matches its combination of insane comedy, sadness, tragedy and beauty, with the catchiest soundtrack to boot. I once had a sing along with a Bosnian at a party to this song, and I don't speak any language other then English, but I can sing this song, albiet badly. Whenever I think of this movie I get goosebumps, cinema doesn't get any better than this.

Great film, Kušturica and Bregović are really talented. At the end, I was crying too :'D Its hard to say why, I was in Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia for several times, so maybe because this kind of sorrow resembles to my memories from there. Btw. today its an anniversary of liberation of my city (Brno, CZ) from Nazis in 1945 and due to this film, its IMHO quite suitable to post here this song. Enjoy it and reminisce. ZDRAVÍM Z ČESKA! :)

Underground has become one of my favourite films ever. It's such a heartbreaking story. Emir Kusturica has done such a splendid job on translating the Serbian history. I have seen this film several times now, and it never ceases to amaze me. Such a wonderful film. If you haven't seen it yet: WATCH IT!
