    I put a lot of thought into this video, my conclusion was that it would be better to use a material that is common to someone who is not a contractor, could be purchased locally and was inexpensive. That way it was more likely that more folks would follow through and build it.

    In this application, I could have used drywall. With the heat shield we used on the stove, the wall surface never hits 100. It is the air spaces that makes it work. I personalty like SKAMOTEC 225

  • nfpa doesnt think durock is non combustible, you should have used Micore 300
