  • I saw Josie a few months ago. She made my face hurt from excessive mouth movement (laughs). Surely I can claim something from this

  • Josie is lovely. Does anyone know where I can get one?

  • the thing about not liking watching women on stage because they look powerful is generally not true at all.

there are a lot more stand up male comedians than female ones. so just like USA will win more golds because they have a lot more athletes to choose from there will be more funny male comedians than female.

josie long is however a gold medal winner.

  • Enjoyed this; it's nice to see a female comedian not talking about sex and weight loss.

  • She was funny, its just the audience were a bunch of clueless wankers who wouldn't know what was funny untill it hit them in the face, watch her on thank god you're here in Australia, the audience were absolutely laughing their heads off!

  • Josie Long is smart, funny (and rather attractive too), her show 'Trying Is Good' is brilliant (I have the DVD) and she is without a doubt, one of my favourite comedians.

  • I genuinely think i'm in love.. (too far???)

  • Thought she was great on Buzzcocks (and rather attractive) so thought I would search for clips on youtube.

I was wrong on both counts. Posh bird/false common accent. Not funny.

  • Ok. So you're now unfairly implying that I'm some sort of sexist. You're wrong. It just seems to me that the evolutionary process has favoured the male sex when it comes to the ability to be funny. We have to make women laugh in order to get laid. Women don't have to do this to men. We already find you attractive. Thanks.

  • @CaptainCritical Er, that's what sexism is.

  • Why aren't women as funny as men?

  • She's hilarious. It's you, you have no soul.

  • Not after watching that performance.

  • Women aren't less funny than men -- they're just perceived that way.

Men don't like watching women standing on a stage WITHOUT A POLE; it makes them look powerful and that can be scary!

  • You're absolutely right. Women are perceived to be less funny than men. And that is because that they are, as a gender, unfunny.

  • OK CC, whatever. You've made your point.

Now go away and ravish the (male) world with your hilarious Y-chromosome facilitated witticisms!

  • Wow she's lovely! And very funny

  • If you buy the Trying Is Good DVD (which is amazing) then you get the whole of Kindness & Exuberance as one of the extras. How cool is that?

  • it's pretty awesome!!

  • alright josie, calm down.

  • I read my comment again the other day and it does sound like I'm working on commission! You should read the reviews on Amazon though. One of them says "five star a treat everyone should see it and I know coz I'm her mum !!!!!" If it's genuine, that's one of the sweetest things I've seen.

  • yeah she does need to relax abit doesnt she..
