These kinds of shows know you want laugh without it so they put it to influence you to laugh. Also, this "live audience" laughs when they see a LAUGH sign flashing and the same thing is for other reactions. So it doesn't matter is it "live" or not, it's ALL canned laughter in the end.

@zeTruth "Live audience" or not it doesn't make a difference. The reason laughter exists on shows is because people are fond of laughing when they hear other people laughing even when it's not funny. These kinds of shows know you want laugh without it so they put it to influence you to laugh. Also, this "live audience" laughs when they see a LAUGH sign flashing and the same thing is for other reactions. So it doesn't matter is it "live" or not, it's ALL canned laughter in the end.

@shadowC10ne Hey there retard.. my cousin was actually at a live taping of the big bang theory in season 3 and there is no flashing "laugh" sign. You can kinda get an idea what a live taping is like on the extras of one of the big bang dvd's, so do yourself a favor and stop talking about shit that u know nothing about. And if you dont like laughter then dont watch sitcoms, simple as that. And if something is not at all funny, other people laughin wont make it funny, hence House of Payne. Dumbass

Most people would never admit that most of their laughter is because of canned laughter. Here's my question again: Why do studios put canned/"live" laughter at all? If they have something funny they don't need to put it. Or do they know more about you than you think? Most of these sitcoms are not funny when without laughter. Canned laughter influence makes 80%.

Watching a show with an audience, then cutting out the reactions makes for a lot of akward pauses after every joke, especially if you've seen the episode before and know what to expect. Thats like adding laughter to the office, even though it wasn't written and directed to compensate for it. It would ruin the show, but by ur logic it should make it funnier right?
