  • i love the way you do your breaks :D

  • LOVE this! Thank you so much Baxter and Jaguarmary!

  • U are amazing, sound with the hoop... Beautiful, I am inspired! U rock! Off to practice paddling.....

  • I love watching hooping videos. I love watching women hoop, because they're usually pretty fit and they wear small clothes and it's just all kinds of sexy. However, when I come across male hoopers, it's like they're making up for not having sexy-girl aesthetics by being ridiculously talented.

    Case in point.

  • I have started some of the "tricks" which are comming very slowly as I do want to get it right and avoid bad habbits...Is a slow learning approach ok or is it better to practice a move for 2 to 3 hours until it's successfully completed? Thankyou :)

  • Absolute perfection. Your hoop flow and body movements entwine brilliantly and are mezmerising to watch. I have only been hooping for about a month and am hooked...This has and will change the path of my life forever, as I also feel a sense of freedom and tranquilty. Thanks from Dave in a rainy London but a hoop of sunshine!

  • Thank you for sharing your gift;) So inspiring and mesmerising to watch ;)

  • do you ever travel and give lessons?

  • @maurnotwhore Hi! Thanks for subscribing! You can find Baxter's current tour schedule at the Hoop Path website.

  • I love this vid!!!

  • @FAikYz

Sorry that your definition of masculinity is so narrow.

  • i am jealous of those immaculate isolations...

  • i love youuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I understand what you're saying, to keep the hoop flowing and let the hoop guide you. But I feel as though I don't know the planes of the hoop and the different ways it can move off my body. I just recently started working on more off-body stuff, and I feel like I'm really struggling.

  • Thanks Baxter for doing this semi tutorial video of your technique. We all love your genius and dedication to teaching "Being with the Hoop". It is great being taught by the teacher from the Church of the Holy Redeemer.

    San Francisco loves you.

  • Wonderous. Maybe try filming Baxter doing it wearing a uv sensitive costume in the dark and black out the hoop entirely so one only sees the body and not the hoop. It would show the movement linking closely to how Baxter maybe perceives the hoop when he does it blindfold. Pure Music/Dance. If filmed as suggested(just a thought I mean it's fantastic as it is) one would get glimpses of the blacked out hoop as it crosses over the illuminated body which could look really amazing. • @studdingsails Hey! That's a great idea! Thanks!

  • WooW.. you have a beautiful and unique way of hooping!! I am a big fan!! xx

  • What is the blindfold for? And you do everything so smoothly.... its beautiful! how do you do your shoulders. its sooooooo hard for me... and getting it from one part of my body to another.... I wish i could have someone work with me in person but these vids are as close i can get.... so if you can, please help! Thank ya.

  • @bluekittysk8er Where are you located? you might be surprised if you look a little harder in your area for other Hoopers!

  • MAN U ROCK!!!! Way to redefine hoop dance!!!! You opened my eyes to so many different tactics. Thank you Baxter!!!!

  • Youre really good at making the hoop look like it's floating! love it!

  • So inspiring - mesmerising to watch, and so refreshing to see a different approach to the standard trick-spinning, flare wearing sexchicks who seem to form the larger part of the hooping army (although respect to each for their style of course) I've been hooping madly for 9 months, travelling and bringing joy to street children along the way. Getting better every day. cheers for such a thoughtful breakdown and please keep em coming! Julia

  • I love his articulation about exactly what is happening with the hoop, etc. His words and action with the hoop truly define why hooping is art.

  • What kind of tape do you use on your hoop? Also, what is the size of the tubing? I hope to flow like you one day!

  • This video is incredible, so inspiring! Baxter has inspired me to close my eyes and start listening to my hoop, and my dance has tangibly changed. Thank you so much. Keep flowing and hooping... I know I will! Peace and love coming your way. <3

  • Thank you

  • Very yang style! This is a great tutorial & shows that hooping isn't just a chick thin!

  • Ohhhh I love this. I never even saw this before....how sweet to have seen it nominated for the Hoopies so I could vote for it. Rawk on Jaguar Mary and Baxter! oxxoxo

  • Dear Mary! Whenever I discover a video of yours, I am always delighted and amazed, but this one is the absolute winner. A wonderful presentation on part of Baxter and a wonderful video depiction on part of yourself. Keep shining! Thank you very much, Baxter and Mary! Hope to see you again this year in NC!

  • Hey there! Thanks so much for your words. I appreciate the feedback! I'll definitely be in NC for either HC or HP or both! Many blessings to you until we meet again. Happy Hooping! jm

  • Massive, massive thank you for this video. I live in the UK and try to teach myself how to hoop. This is amazing!

  • You are soooo very welcome. Peace, jm

  • Wow! The way Baxter transitions the hoop is so wonderful and balancing on the top of his hand...unbelievable!

  • okay, I figured out that the volume is better in the left speaker, for some reason. I was just using the right earbud at work so that I could still answer the phone. Still low, but not as bad.

Anyways, thanks for sharing this great video/lesson!

  • Thanks for your comment. I think I've figured out the problem because one other person said that they couldn't hear the voice at all. Here's the deal: The audio is not mixed on this particular upload. In other words, the voice is on one channel and the music on the other. If the left channel of your sound system is compromised somehow, you won't hear the voice. If you play the video straight out of your computer, without headphones, you will hear proper levels on the sound and the music.

  • I also find the volume VERY low, except for the music parts. I can just hear him speak if I turn all my volumes up to maximum.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I love watching Baxter hoop and listening to him teach. A nice slice of hoop path. :)

  • My favorite video of Bax. He shines the brightest in this video as a teacher. Thanks for sharing.

  • A great collaboration. Thank you Baxter. Thank you Jaguar Mary. Two powerful artists. I am, as always, inspired.

  • Love where Baxter starts tossing around 3:45, like the hoop is completely weightless. I just noticed he doesn't grip the hoop, rather lets it roll around his hands.

  • Thanks Mary!

  • I can hear the music, but I can't hear him speaking...is something wrong with just mine?

  • Hey Ladybugsong. The sound seems okay. Maybe you need to refresh your page? I don't know. Just a suggestion.

  • You're so welcome! Merry merry, happy happy everybody! Joy and flow to all. Big love, jm

  • Thanks for this Christmas present Jaguar Mary!....Bax...I've never been to your classes - please come to TX in 2010!

  • This man is other worldly!!! He exudes grace, peace, and leadership!!! I am so thankful to have such an amazing hooper to look up to! I am also thankful for you, Jaguar Mary!!!

  • Thanks for sharing this Jaguarmary!

    Happy Holidays!
