  • @tstephensxo you can see at 4:06 he divided paths of circles and lines rotating out from that central point. then went thru and changed the fill on each of those pieces. just a little more detail on what swanzai said.

  • Stunning....just got your I Saw The Devil Print from Mondo...I will cherish it!!

  • I feel like i will never be able to design a poster ever again. ):

What is the tool you use @ 4:10 to paint the shapes?

And thank you for posting another video. I fuckin love these.

  • Great poster and a nice video too!

I was wondering how you managed to get those pre-defined segments of the radial brush you were drawing that changed angle when you moved the mouse around @4:09 ?

I noticed that there is a brief moment where you have two guidelines that are the center of the circle, but how did you do the rest so that it became something you could brush?

  • @tstephensxo Check out 4:07 -- looks like it's one big 'black' shape that he's individually changing the fill on individual paths

  • @inkstatic Thanks a lot! Very helpful information! :)

  • @tstephensxo Yes, the Polar Grid Tool and the Live Paint Tool. Both are a feature of Adobe Illustrator but may be available in some fashion in other vector programs. Polar Grid and Live Paint. You could also make your own pattern with strokes, unite it via the Pathfinder, then fill in segment with Live Paint as well.

  • thats pretty fucking awesome man

  • i feel like i got ripped off in the Illustrator department of my education.

    you should develop tutorials.
