For my money, and I don't have a lot of it, I think this is the best single malt available. It is very easy to find a great Scotch for $50 a bottle, but not for less than $25. As soon as I popped the cork, I was most impressed. Malty, fruity and like you describe. I think it easily put the over rated Glenlivet 12, Dalmore cigar malt or Dalmore 12 y.o. a good run for their money at far less cost. As good or better than Glenfiddich 12. Again, it's not Laphroig, but then neither is the price.
i've been enjoying Speyburn ,(yes in that green can ) for around 5 years . Can someone help me to "expand" my horizons , on a new scotch, yes i also enjoy Glen livit
Great Tasting notes on the Speyburn 10. I found it spot on. Not very memorable but a good daily drinker and almost like a bourbon in ways also. Very nice variety.
