luca badoer was incredibly slow - i remember when he actually drove the ferrari when massa got his injury. he was getting lapped in the same race as his team mate was leading the race. it was so funny that he was so low. but yeah there must be worse drivers. can't forget kovalainen vs hamilton when hamilton was on pole and kovalainen was nowhere to be seen! who else has there been? petrov a mile behind kubica. one guy who beats them is bruno senna. he's even worse than petrov!

Maybe it was a one hit wonder or something else, but when you look at the overall performance, he was indeed one of the most useless drivers in formula 1. Another driver, who I would take into consideration is Bruno Senna. His only value is the money, he brings into a team and the name ofcourse.

I agree with Nr 2, 3 and 4 but Badoer is indeed not that bad as his performance in 2010 showed. He hasn't done any race than for 10 years. Back at Minardi he did what he could with that car. He also played an important role as testdriver for Ferrari. Also Tuero wasn't bad at all. He did some nice times with that Minardi. Sadly people only remember him for the crash in Suzuka.

Hands down Nelson Piquet Jr no. 1.

During the 2008 German GP, Nelson found himself in 1st position (after a Safety Car period). Hamilton was about 6 or so positions behind (after McLaren ruined his strategy). My friend went online to check the betting odds - Nelson was still 50/1 to win - even though he was leading by about 10sec... he didn't win. Hamilton caught him no bother & Nelson was a distant 2nd.

Put it down to the car, but how did the betting site already know the outcome...???

Luca Badoer is actually one of the best drivers in F1. Not by race results, sure, but no other man on this planet has driven an F1 car more Kms than Luca, and a Ferrari F1 car at that. He is responsible for so many Ferrari F1 cars being world beaters. The man is a multi-millionaire and when in-season testing comes back, you watch Mercedes GP (Ross Brawn/Aldo Costa) call him up.

Alex Yoong did let his confidence drop at Minardi in 2002. He had done pretty well in British F3 in 1999. Later that year he did some F3000 races, and driving for one of the smallest teams (Monaco Motorsport) in a field of 36, he qualified 16th at Spa and made a very good impression. When he was dropped for 2 races at Minardi, he returned rejuvenated, and was closer to Webber - even closer in the races, running ahead of him in Japan! That's his real talent. Showed ok in CART and won in A1GP.
