The bands today are a dime a dozen...There is 10 thousand bands in North America signed every year and record companies sign each one for virtually no money and it cost's them very little to produce a cd.. Bands in the 60's to 80's were a very big risk to the record companies due to the cost of promotion and were very selective then...not so much any more.
