  • is incomplete without the beatles trademark "ooh" but otherwise, cool song!

  • Great rendition! I love The Searchers.

  • Great version, typical searchers sound, melodic and beaty

  • A really good job on this well-known song. Thank you for this post.

  • I like this version a lot, I have it on a Searchers CD. After The Beatles version, this is the "Twist and Shout" version I like the most. It´s different from The Isley Brothers, The Beatles and Brian Poole and The Tremeloes version. Its merit is that it has a different particular sound, a Searchers sound.

  • Long live the Searchers!

  • Аааа, я просто валяюсь под столом... Какой милый голосок... :DDD Такое ощущение, будто поёт четырнадцати-пятнадцатилетний мальчик.... Нееет, кавер с оригиналом даже рядом не стоял! %))

  • La Bamba meets the Beatles?

  • this version is sooooo much better than the beatles version, which was good, but this is super brilliant. these guys are the forgotten mersey band. gd post man!!!

  • @TheRockinpneumonia I like this version too, it's a happier version but the Beatles is much more hard hitting they ROCK!!!

  • Yes thing time frame a bit out

  • From their debut album Meet the Searchers - line up Tony Jackson on lead vocal, Mike Pender Lead Guitar, John McNally Rhythm Guitar and Chris Curtis drums. Frank Allen who is on some clips did not join till the fourth album.

  • It is crazy that half the clips in this video show Frank Allen instead of Tony Jackson when it is actually Tony Jackson singing the lead on Twist And Shout.
