  • 7.62 x 54 is a big round. I'd hate to be down range of one of those.

  • why bursts, id fuck that bad ass gun up to full auto spray

  • @IronBaracuda73 it would just push him back and he could lose control which could end up bad for everyone

  • LIbyan rebels can do better......... non stop fully automatic

  • @MrMahyem yea americans are pussies!

  • awsome gun but i still like the m60 better

  • Reminds me of the film (9th batallion)

  • Ruski guns dont jam... :)

  • PKM : Pulemyot Kalashnikova Machinegun

  • this is not full auto you are doing it burst fire, lame

  • @gunnar045 this is full auto superstar, everytime he pulls the trigger more than one round fires and it only stops firing when he lets of the trigger, what you are thinking of in cyclic rate of fire.

  • @gunnar045 You're stupid.

  • PKM "Pretty kick-ass machine gun"

  • Serious question is firing from the hip the only way you could hold this while firing? I know using the bipod for support is typically the best way just curious to know if it was a situation like ur showing when the bipod isnt used how it can be fired.

  • FUCK YEA AMERICA!WOOOOOOO

  • This is how a squad machine is supposed to be. Not that pussy SAW the US military uses. I can't believe they switched from the M60 to that pea-shooter.The SAW shoot the m16 5.56 round for christ's sake!

  • @ChuckinCho the U.S. military also uses the M240 series machine guns which fire the 7.62 NATO when i was deployed we had one S.A.W gunner and replaced the other saw with the 240

  • @ChuckinCho

More and more people have started see the 5.56 for what it really is- a dissapointment.

In standard FMJ it performs poorly against cover, In armor piercing it doesn't leave a big hole, after 500 yards it loses most of its energy and when subsonic/suppressed its becomes a long .22 caliber bullet.

The only consistant application I can see is taking small game, plinking and shooting prisoners in the back during a jail break (Ruger mini 14)

  • @ChuckinCho russians don't use PKM in every squad. They use RPK-74 as squad MG. And know what? M249 is much better than RPK.

  • @SgtZaqq

Soviet used PKM as a section (so half of a squad) weapon for Mech infantry, RPK was used by Paratrops/airborne and other light infantry.

In modern times however Russian (note difference) expanded the use RPK at PKM expense as result of COIN operation.

  • F/A's over rated, i'd rather have a SVD over a PKM anyday

  • @24GordonFan223

10 round box vs 100 round belt, full auto or semi most of the time the Dragunov wont match the capabilty of 100 rounds without a reload.

But the Dragunov would have an advantage in the dark with its PSO 1 scope with I.R detection.

  • @dukenukemthreed yes, bu the Dragonov is made for accuracy where the PKM is a squad auto, so those 10 rounds make more of a difference than those 100 rounds, as the majority of those 100 rounds will most likely miss, where the SVD will usually hit all 10 out of 10

  • @24GordonFan223

Dude... You would need a 90% MISS ratio for that to apply and if you fire a heavy MG with a 24+inch barrel and miss that much you wouldn't be much of a sniper.

Also tracers would compensate for lack of scope/precision bolt, hell its the same cartridge.

  • AMERICA

  • PKM is legendary!

  • russian waepons awesome

  • good lmg for a lefty yah??

  • spray n pray, GET SOME!

  • u said full auto
