I would never charge that much with that build quality. For $250 I would at least etch a board (not use stripboard) with board mounted pots (to eliminate some of the wiring. There's enough room in there), and clean up the remaining wiring. Wouldn't be hard to do. It does sound ok though.

I do not believe that a pcb will be better for the quality of the pedal (just better for our eyes if we open the pedal... )

I never said it sounds bad. Point to Point? Looks like stripboard to me! How are board mounted pots less quality? Because the legs are longer and bent? Those Alpha pots in this pedal aren't "best components" at all! I guess I have higher standards for my pedals especially if I was to charge that much. If I built a $50 pedal, I would make it look the best I could inside and out.

pretty sure that in the effects world, stripboard is still considered point to point. shielded hookup wire directly hand-soldered to the leads of each component... basically they're just saying no cheap traces or etches. seems to me that in a die cast enclosure that small, soldering leads to leads would just be one big fuster cluck.

Theres' no way stripboard is point to point. Stripboard is strips of traces. Now Veroboard would be considered point to point. No copper at all and components are wired together using leads.

I think Blackout Effectors Twosome fuzz is hairier then Big Johns. Twosome sacktone is much smoother and you get two sacks in one package. Big Johns sounds good but is too stubbly for me.
