Nasa Baguio ako nung nangyari ito. Text nga si insan ko, parang dagat daw sa Mindanao Av. that very day. Though 'di rin namin alam, in the midst na nagsasaya kami dun sa Baguio, matindi na pala ang nangyayari sa Metro Manila kung hindi pa magtext yung 'sang long-lost friend ko ng send to many asking for rescue dahil hanggang leeg na raw ang tubig sa loob ng bahay nila. Terrifying really, places na hindi binabaha ay nabaha.

you forgot the biggest factor: amount of rainfall. if drainage was completely blocked by trash, then it wouldn't have subsided in majority of areas as quickly as it did after the rain stopped.
