If I'm not mistaken it is not BBL 600, but BBL 550. Well, at least mine (BBL 600) has almost as twice buttons and 1500W power. But it is not relevant and not my point- both models are simply GREAT. I mean it, because previously I used 2 other brands and they really don't deserve to be mentioned.
Yep, excellent for smoothies, but Ibought it mostly to make ice blend cocktails for parties. Big Mistake. All the ice in my cocktail ends up stuck to the sides of the blender.
It's TOO powerful. The Ice is so smooth it takes on the shape of the container and leaves a puddle of liquid at the bottom with the blades spinning around like tyres in the mud. And you can't pour it out! Had to turn it upside down and shake until a big PLOP of all my ice fell out into the sink.
breville bbl600 ikon crushes ice and ice cream (coming from refrigerator after -at least- couple of hours- so we can see the power of the machine) for making mocha or vanilla milkshakes-i will be very grateful!
The blender works perfect. I have only had a leak one time, and that was when I forgot to replace the rubber gasket after washing the blender. If people are seeing leaking, I think they are doing something wrong. I use the blender 3 times a week or more and I have had no problems for 6 months.
The blender is great. I have no complaints yet. Been using it several times a week to make smoothies, soups and sauces. Works great. Definitely a worthwhile investment!!!
I just baught one, I hope it works well. I'm really excited! I read reviews on amazon, people were complaining that it leaks alot. Have you had any problems with that?
Does this blender still work for you? Been considering picking one up. I would use it heavily. Do you?
