So you have to choose between Fallout 3 and New Vegas? Think of it like this: Fallout 3 is much like KotOR, while New Vegas is much like KotOR II (same developer, too). Both have their good points, the first is usually much better with story and bugs, the second has a more updated style of gameplay / graphics. Myself? Well, I can't get enough of either, but given the choice of one, I would have to say Fallout 3, because it was a much better experience for me, especially with the story.

Hello, Im new to the fall out series and getting the hang of it ect, but the only thing I cannot figure out is how do you repair your weapons, armor ect? like I know how to But you require certain items : how do you know what items to get?

@zICLeNziFy you can use say a 10mm pistol to repair a 10mm pistol there certain vendors that can repair your items the dude at the mojave outpost has 100 repair skill meaning he can repair anything you have to 100% now if you get the jury rigging perk at level 14 and 90 repair you can use say a metal armor to repair a power armor or a hunting revolver with a 357 revolver

Have you seen half the locations in Vegas location discovered prospectors shack,Rauls shack,Fields shack,Highway posts its so stupid have you taken the explorer perk on NV its tons of squares you get lost looking at that not to mention the loading screens, The strip originally only had one loading screen now theres 3. There was little to no effort put into the Mojave they could have been so much more creative. The only decent thing to do is gamble.

@FalloutTactics92 still, they are more interesting than what you could find in FO3. Random vault# with nothing in it or a picnic table with some forks and plates... hooray how much fun. NV has more factions to engage with, more people to interact with and tons of more fun stuff to kill. Then there is the DLCs and FO3s first DLC sucked cus it was a stand alone experience = lame and does not ADD to the rest of the original game

@bentotheclarke FO3 has a more survival atmosphere theres more enemies and is set in D.C and looks awesome even the soundtrack in 3 was better. New Vegas was rushed and has a poor storyline its not as immersive as 3 and its still buggy trust me others might say different but look up some Youtube vids and make your choice but for me its FO3.

@zICLeNziFy you can use say a 10mm pistol to repair a 10mm pistol there certain vendors that can repair your items the dude at the mojave outpost has 100 repair skill meaning he can repair anything you have to 100% now if you get the jury rigging perk at level 14 and 90 repair you can use say a metal armor to repair a power armor or a hunting revolver with a 357 revolver

Actually the Super Mutants on the West Coast were green. o: Part of the Masters Army. The ones on the East Coast were using a different strain of the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV) but it was still the same strain used that creates the Super Mutants.
