The reason the caskets were not shown on TV was for respect of privacy. There was a discussion about changing this policy several months ago. Some were ok, some were not. But, they are now doing this.

Though I agree that the "shout out" was over the top, he handled it fairly well. How can you say he loathes the military if he went to greet the coffins of fallen soldiers, which BTW your oh so loved Bush did not do. And there's a difference between composure and not doing anything.I can understand Bush at first not doing anything, because such an horrific act of violence hasn't been seen since Pearl Harbor, but still he was the president, there must've been something he could've done.
