Maybe if American Airlines had not left the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), which represents over 50,000 pilots, they would have had the resourses to inform them so they could have made a better decision.
some pilots may not be entirely trsutworthy of all staff at airports. these days terrorists can gain jobs in all areas from the maintainance hanger to the baggage handlers to the people who fuel the aircraft. i believe that maintainance workers should be made to wear safety hat mounted video cameras so there every move is recorded. In this day an age we cannot trust anybody and these terrorists work as large teams and turn a blind eye to things.
waste of time this message. BA wont be around for too long, they are useless, over priced and losing money left right and center. So bring on the competition please. Also in the US, the way AA works and treats their customers they should be kicked out! AA are a complete disgrace.
@Matthuffy What Airline hasn't had there ups and downs? BA have some of the best Pilots around! Sorry to burst your bubble but they aren't going anywhere, anytime soon!
Us pilots get crap pay for long hours, we all need to walk off the job all at once, but there is always some little shit willing to work for nothing. " OMG i get to fly a jet" but A hole you can"t even pay your bills.
Thank you Captain Hill for that, it's an important point.
Every English person who has commented anything like "Fuck off Yank" you should be ashamed, how does that come across to other nations around the world?
To the matter in hand
WIllie Walsh (CEO of BA) is low in rankings for two main reasons he has let down his employees (Pilots and others)
He has let down passengers (Massive fares from only one Airport in Britain London and replacing all flights from other cities with a daily shuttle run)
So.... do they do this whenever a new airline is created? Did they make one for Delta when Song was created?
By the way, American Airlines sucks. I'm sorry, but management has run the airline to the ground and the cabin crew are not afraid to show their displeasure to their passengers
No, Delta and Song were still the same company--- same Delta pilots, same Delta call sign on the radios... They DID use laid off flight attendants, and they did have a different set of management (real cost effective... not).
They offered TVs in every seat at a time when mainline Delta did not, and offered more service at a lower price then when you wanted to "treat yourself" to a mainline experience...
THANK YOU!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POINTING THAT OUT! There just scared that they have competition. And you know what, its not fair for airlines to have monopolies on countries. Stop whining American Airlines pilots. In my opinion, more airlines should be created. And also president of "APA", AMR CORPORATION OWNS AA AND AA EAGLE STOP WHINING!
This is absoloutley the biggest threat to BA cabin crew as well as the pilots and I find it astonishing that BASSA seem to be preoccupied with such lesser issues instead of tackleing this issue. As BA cabin crew we stand to be usurped by less well paid international based crew. This is BA management cashing in on our good name and its wrong.
It's no longer a British taxpayer owned company, but a shareholder owned company, and those shareholders can be from anywhere in the world my friend. So in reality the best you can say about BA is that it's a British based company.
He makes it seem like BA has never had scope issues...anyone heard of the BMED franchise? BA South Africa? The USAir/BA codeshare back in the 90s where USAir painted a plane in BA colors and the US F/As wore BA uniforms, etc.
I think the tone (in the part where it doesn't sound like he's ready a "How to Manual") is condescending and if I were a BA pilot I'd actually be a little insulted.
Finally, the Scope ship has sailed at AA so why is APA spending their members money on this video?
I would think the same goes fro BA flight attendants, BA planes, BA crews. Also, why is there a union flag on the tail of these Openskies planes when it's nothing to do with British people? BA managment cashing in on the BA name and not wanting their staff to work on it! So bad!
There were so many clichés and metaphors in that speech.

Then why the hell did you ask "Am I missing the point?"
That implies to everyone that you are inquiring if you actually did "miss the point"....
Still dont think you get the point... and I dont think i am the only one.

Yes Cook1993... you missed the point entirely.
AA does not "compete" with AE. If you are not in the profession, you will not understand.
Take your "capitalism" absolute and use it elsewhere, it doesn't apply here.
-a capitalist.
