The best wheeled fighting vehicle out today! AMV can be equipped with 50. HMG, 25-30mm autocannons, automatic grenade launchers, NEMO and AMOS mortars, 105mm gun system and BMP-3 turret. I also has one of the worlds best protection systems and mobility.
Personally I have seen it with the M2 50.cal HMG. (While serving in Finnish Defence Forces).
Ofcourse, it can also be fitted with the "advanced mortar system" for shits and giggles, but I'm not sure if it weights too much then to be amphibious.
@NatedogJr Well the finnish XA-360 (finnish vehicle code for Patria AMV) are equipped with a Protector M151 mounted .50 M2 HMG or H&K GMG. So apparently it is good enough idea for FDF to use it.
Patria makes the MOST Feared weapon in Afghanistan the Rosomak(Wolverine) APCs of the Polish Army. Taiban I've interogated call it "Green Death". Good to the USMC considering new equipment. Hope they can procure these before the looming budget cuts. Unfortunately Marine performance the last 10yrs has been, being generous, quite poor. So they are bearing the brunt of the land forces budget cuts. I'm Army & hope for a strong, viable USMC not the shell Obama/Congress want by 2015.
@Papi1960R Exactly. Fuck Obama, fuck the democrats. They've destroyed this nation, have canned our air force of F-22s with the much inferior, and, honestly, defenceless F-35, yet believe those on welfare/illegals need benefits... Sorry, I'd like tax cuts so I can grow up knowing there is are businesses, instead of a communist state sucking off what little money feeds it until the damn bank runs out???
@airsofter615 Don't be fooled by the outside appearance, it is fitted with a v shaped hull, it's just less noticeable as they've fitted the axles and panelling around it.
Now that's more like it! Beats the hell out of the other MPC demonstrator. Needs a turret with a 30mm autocannon however, at least on the variant that will replace the LAV.
It looks like the stryker, and if it is not amphibious like the LAV or AAV, then I don't see the point of it. Especially if it's only armed with a CROWS
That thing looks already about 100x better than AAVs. As a grunt, I really hated the fuckin "theres always room for one more" cause there was always one motherfucker who puked into his god dawm helmet, causing a chain reaction of that sort of shit. Ive shared an AAV with 31 total marines on board, with packs, weapons, and we had an 81mm mortar crew and their equipment on board with us, it was a ship to shore movement, took about 20 min to get on dry ground.
its only got a 50 cal....

This thing is ugly as fuck compared to the LAV but supposedly better.

is there any plans to arm the MPC with a 25mm or 30mm turret or will it have the concept of the stryker with the remote controlled 50 cal HMG?

@airsofter615 The patria AMV hull is designed to protect passangers from a 10 kg TNT anti-tank mine.
