@mikesativa Well at this point in time I used my old faithful mxl v63m, literally bottom of the line and was using a very bad preamp but yes I had sung enough to know when to back off the mic but still capture some of that close up sound. In current videos, btw new video tonight "you could be mine" well i use the mxl 2003a with a preamp going in to a compressor to really allow me to let loose without fear of clipping when I wail away like a walrus. Alliteration.
