People need to learn how to practice standing up, if you really got something down but you don't have an acoustic, practice it standing up and see how you can tackle something like that.

For example, in Don't Cry but GNR, the chords are F flat, G flat, A flat minor, yet it plays an E flat at 1 point, to give the solo a build up sense.

the custom has original floyd, invader pickups, ebony fretboard and other difrences in the wood. they both have same inlays with the syn, crosses, and deathbat. idk what version he is playin but r u guys really gonna fight over sumthing so stupid
Yes there are differences. The custom: seymore duncan invader pickups, set neck, solid mahogany body, ebony fingerboard... Standard: Duncan Designed detonators, bolt on neck, i think basswood body, and a rosewood fingerboard.
It depends on you. Do you play alot? In a band? Just a hobby? It also depends on your income. Overall I would get the custom because I think its only about $300 more than the standard and it's alot better.

There must be something with him in this video, I've seen better too, I'm not a fan of Avenged Sevenfold, I even dislike them xD but I don't write hate comments for that. This is really bad, and the rhythm in the beginning sounds kinda punk-ish, which I dno how good it fits together with sweeps... Anyways I know that he can sweep because I've heard recordings and seen live clips so I can't deny that he can sweep.
he's a great composetr but some of his techniqyues could be better. The correct way to sweep is to mute each note you sweep into immediately after your pick it with your palm and follow that pattern throughout the entire arpeggio. Normally your fretting finger is muting one string above it but for sweeping you have to insert your palm earlier.
to be honest syn doesn't sweep correctly because you can hear some of the notes in his arpeggio ringing out which would make it sound like a chord and sweeping is supposed to be cleaner.
its getting over used. it used to b artistic now everyone uses it. its like tapping. eddy van halen made it amazing. randy rhodes made it godly. but now EVERYONE has to use it. everyone sweeps now and its just not special or artistic to me anymore

I +1 this, it's much easier to tap than sweep, tapping does however, make the notes play faster but sweeping is played by a sweep motion through string by string and that creates a "circle" sort of sound, tapping sounds like a bunch of beeps and making them sound good can be difficult for an inexperienced musician (not guitarist, musician).
well your statement is 50/50 true and false. Anyone can tap you are correct with that piece of knowledge but a basic tapper with fast fingers can make it sound insanely cool or if you can do a cheater van halen style tapping you can make it blistering fast. Sweeping requires a bit of finger position getting-used-to kinda thing. Slide sweeping however is very hard for a beginning sweeper. I remember back in the day trying for hours to get the hang of slide sweeping without losin my finger spots

There must be something with him in this video, I've seen better too, I'm not a fan of Avenged Sevenfold, I even dislike them xD but I don't write hate comments for that. This is really bad, and the rhythm in the beginning sounds kinda punk-ish, which I dno how good it fits together with sweeps... Anyways I know that he can sweep because I've heard recordings and seen live clips so I can't deny that he can sweep.

he's a great composetr but some of his techniqyues could be better. The correct way to sweep is to mute each note you sweep into immediately after your pick it with your palm and follow that pattern throughout the entire arpeggio. Normally your fretting finger is muting one string above it but for sweeping you have to insert your palm earlier.

to be honest syn doesn't sweep correctly because you can hear some of the notes in his arpeggio ringing out which would make it sound like a chord and sweeping is supposed to be cleaner.

Tapping is not even close to being as hard as sweeping. Anyone can tap, not much people can sweep.

I +1 this, it's much easier to tap than sweep, tapping does however, make the notes play faster but sweeping is played by a sweep motion through string by string and that creates a "circle" sort of sound, tapping sounds like a bunch of beeps and making them sound good can be difficult for an inexperienced musician (not guitarist, musician).

well your statement is 50/50 true and false. Anyone can tap you are correct with that piece of knowledge but a basic tapper with fast fingers can make it sound insanely cool or if you can do a cheater van halen style tapping you can make it blistering fast. Sweeping requires a bit of finger position getting-used-to kinda thing. Slide sweeping however is very hard for a beginning sweeper. I remember back in the day trying for hours to get the hang of slide sweeping without losin my finger spots
