Are the orcs that were left in Mordor the runts of the species. The orcs we see in this scene seem even more repulsive and deformed than those seen at Minas Tirith and their armour here seems even less uniformed. Perhaps this was an intentional attempt at making Gorgoroth seem much less hospitable - accounting for the inbred state of the orcs, whereas the orcs from Angmar were bred to be better?
Is there really any way he can enforce that? I mean, they all look pretty much alike. If he can't tell that they're not even Orcs, I seriously doubt he can distinguish one Orc from another.
Not that its impotant, but I thought its funny that the orcs couldnt smell man flesh standing next to them but they could smell it miles away in Twin Towers
@flymaster you're talking about when the orc's are on the move carrying marry and pippen? If so then maybe it is because they are not orc's, they were uruk-hai. better smelling perhaps?
Ok. So there's ONE Orc with a whip...and there are, like, a bazillion other Orcs with axes, blades and spears. Why is the one with the whip driving the others on?
And what the hell is an Elf, Sauron, doing in command of a legion of Orcs and Trolls. I never understood that in the books either. Didn't he have any Elven followers from when he first forged the One Ring, besides the Three Elves who also wielded Great Rings of Power? Well they and the Seven and Nine aren't really followers of Sauron, but enslaved servants to him.
when the three races got the rings of power, the elves didn't seek power,so they stayed alive, the dwarfs were able to control the power, so they also stayed alive and the men who wanted more power from there rings were diminished for the men are the weakest of the three, and that is how they became the only servants of Sauron
I´m glad of these additional Mordor scenes. The hobbits´ last voyage through Gorgoroth plains always felt a bit too rushed in the theatrical release. After all, were talking about a land one does not simply walk into. :)
@torhjelm yeah they did seem to rush the mordor scenes even though the whole of the third book was basically their walk through mordor, wish they had done this scene like it was in the book and added it to the film
You know, half-trolls were actually created after the book and movies were made. So technically, what you're saying is impossible because half trolls didn't even exist in the Lord of the Rings world. BFME added a lot of things, such as the alliance between goblins and spiders. That is also non-existent in the books and movie. The inspector was just a large brutish orc, not a half troll and not an uruk either. And the Isengard Uruk-hai all died in Helms Deep, but there are still normal uruks.
It specifically says in the Return of the King in the Battle of the Pellenor Fields Chapter '....and out Far-Harad, half-trolls with red tongues and white eyes'. But there was no such thing as an Orc half-troll.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
your stupid man.Dol Guldur,Misty Mountains, mirkwood and gundabad had NO Uruks dumbass. And mordor had very little. The ones that were in mordor were weak and dumb. All evil places consisted of orcs and Trolls.Isengard was the first to have the REAL strong, smart vicious Uruk hai.
yur a idiot. the point were the orcs find shelob and frodo, that one guy who said is he dead? was an uruk. all the orcs with chared black skin and long black that stand upright are uruks
There was only like 25k isengrad uruks , the mordor had uruk hai too but it was different.Isengrad uruks were seen only once , while mordor orcs existed last 500~ years.
Mordor however had hundreds of thousands of uruks , not to mention dol guldur , mirkwood , gundabad and misty mountains.
BiracialGoddess : they never wash themselves and live in a dirt. They basically drop all the dirt neither near theyr cave , or somewhere there. They literally live in a garbage!
I'm afraid I was disappointed with the resolution of this scene. I actually preferred the one in the cartoon-Sam tricks the orcs into a battle with some Easterlings.
lol orc boss has a scowl like no other XD

Sauron is actually a maia spirit not an elf. And as for elven followers, no elf ever willingly served the Dark Powers.
