@uglytiger23 running 1 15" earthquake dbxi controlled 20-65hz, and one image dynamics 12" idmax 45-160hz. listen to a large range of music, this is the eq setup i use the most though. the eq setup, sources, and enclosure designs are mostly responsible for my "sq" though. not saying jl is crap. far from it. but to say something so narrow... tsk tsk.

What kind of amp you runnin on these? and p.s, to those commenters below, kickers or other other cheap brands may hit harder than the jl 12wov2, but this sub is the cheapest jl makes and it still blows the sound quality away of any other sub out there. Jl's real shit like the w7 is uncomparable with anything kicker or mtx makes. Jl subs are for people who actually like music. cheap subs that hit hard are for showing off to ur friends.
@MrCocksmooch69 Dayton sells "cheap" subs and they'd wipe the floor with the W6's on a distortion, powerhandling, and sensitivity test easily. Plus what does bass with good "sound quality" sound like? Low extension? Quick transients? Sounds more like an enclosure problem than the subs themselves.
@MrCocksmooch69 lmfao. bet my "cheap" subs reproduce any sub-bass frequency more accurately than your JL's. I dont think JL is crappy, but I also dont think that even their reference class subs are the best in the world by far... and I actually like music.
@FLAMINGESKIM0 You should really get out there and try other stuff than JL. When I had two 12W0v2s in a sealed box I thought they were pretty awesome too. Then I sold them and got a single DD2512 and holy crap the difference was night and day. It was twice as loud and twice as clean. I suggest digging a little deeper and at least trying brands like DD, Sundown, T3, and TC Sounds.

@uglytiger23 you are also comparing a 300 watt sub to a 600 plus watt subwoofer, w6's cost way more then sundown and sundown is way louder. also you can get a sd series for about 140-150 depends where you buy it and it is 500 rms.
@uglytiger23 yea w3's maybe 500 rms but they still cost more then subwoofers that will blow them away. that is my point jl audio is way too high, when you talk about the wo's being 95, you can get kicker, fosgate, mtx, etc subs for less money, you can buy kicker cvr 12's for about 60 each and even kicker out hits jl audio.
@memphiskicksass negative ghost rider. mtxs are built like shit. my neighbor had a 9500 that broke in a week. fosgate's cheap ones suck. and the kickers are not quite as loud and suck in sound quality. now. fi, dd, sundown, ascendant audio, and incriminator audio all make the best subs. jls are just amazing for sound quality and most are built for small sealed boxes but you can buy cheaper for better. just not the dub 0s
@uglytiger23 your right about mtx and fosgates, but your missing the fact that all fosgate subs suck and i'm not too big on there amps as well, your right about sound quality of jl audio though, but if i want sound quality, i will go with fi audio, they sound great and are loud as fuck as well.
