  • @goddessau2004 No one has the 'right' to eat meat. Since when did you have the right to kill something just for your own pleasure? Especially when there is extremely strong scientific evidence that meat, dairy and eggs are incredibly bad for us and most of the 'health benefits' are actually industry lies.

  • @gazzamuso .....carnivorous and omnivorous animals eat other animals, it's nature and humans happen to be omnivorous, so if you're a fan of "natural law" we sorta DO have the right to eat meat. We DON'T have the right to mistreat or abuse animals, and I call bullshit on your "scientific evidence"

  • I thought animal-lib was an animal rights organisation.

Animal rights means veganism. I think this ad is giving people the wrong message. Anyway, the battery cage system does have its advantages -- lower mortality rate, compared to free range or barn laid.

  • so they can be sure they'll suffer longer? win win

  • haha indeed! ;)

The "luckiest" birds in the egg industry are the males who are murdered at the hatchery.

  • I'm with you, kathhallam. Attack the most obvious cruelty first (cage eggs before barn, jumps racing before flat, mulesing before marking) THEN we take the next steps. Good ads.

  • One step at a time, Lard Features! We'll never get anywhere telling people to just not use them....it has got to be a good thing to at least try to improve living standards.

  • Free range and organic eggs are not much better. I would have thought an advertisment by an abolisionist organisation would have pointed that out.

  • I completely agree with you!

What does this ad say? It says buying battery cage eggs is wrong, but buying "cage-free" eggs is perfectly fine. This is NOT what we want to be telling people.

  • nice. did voiceless pay for these?
