@saemetry the side bar is useless once u rotate the pins to the correct position. infact, when u tension the lock, the side bar's pins/fingers bind against the pins. giving them the stiff and rigid feel i look for. once picked to shear and rotated correctly, the side bar's pins/fingers falls into the the true gates of the pins, allowing it to compress and thus be picked open. its really quite routine to pick these once u learn. so either put up, or shut up, and learn for urself.
I'll give you one I want you to pick in your presence. I will stand and look on as you do. If you pick it, then you will have my respect and I will be impressed. But for now got to wonder how you pulled that off.
@saemetry It took me some time to get it. It's a question of getting used to it. Once you can rotate pins, the medeco cylinder becomes a normal pintumbler. I kinda just pull on the sides to make it turn, not very gracefully though :P.
There are more locks that way surpass Medeco. Medeco is just the most common among the highsecurity locks.
You are posting this comment now, but I wouldn't be suprised to one day see one video of YOU picking one ;).
@saemetry Dont tell me, you're one of those Medeco is unpickable and bump proof guys? The proof is in all the picking and several bumping videos on here. The M3 bumping by 12 year old girl video is real. The guy figured out that there are several code keys that can be used to bump them open. They are listed in the Govt only version of his book.
But feel free to go to Canada, and try to prove your point.
Well, isn't the side bar suppose to be locking up those kind of attempts when it's not done by the key? Seeing in person done to one of my locks is believing, that picking and bumping can be done.
@saemetry Well, what if you set the pins rotationally first? You need alot of tension before the side bar will lock up the pins. When picking, you use very light tension.
