Rod Allen of The Fortunes. Amazing just stop off and played this oldie and to my surprise I picked out Rodders of The Fortunes performing this little gem. John
Coca-cola tastes sooo much better in a glass bottle! I don't see Coca-cola in glass bottles much anymore up here in Wisconsin, only during Christmastime when they come out with their X-mas bottles. I say they should come back with soda in glass bottles!
@Idoljunky32 Yeah they do. In my day, the bottles came in the sizes 6 and a half ounces, 10 oz=King Size, and 16 ounces. The bottles were clear with a green tint and the writing was white. The caps were metal with cork on the inside for a perfect seal for the perfect drink.
Incidentally, they sell Mexican Coke many places in the USA, mostly Mexican groceries. Anyways, they are the old glass bottles we know and love and are made with pure cane sugar, not high fructose corn syruo. Yay!
@Fersomling i've never understood the hype over that, i've had both with and without the corn syrup, and the coke with high fructose corn syrup tastes better to me.
The Fortunes sure did excellent jingles for Coke. I was born in 1969 so I don't remember these but I try to listen to them all. Great jingles of a bygone era.
I love those red freezers with pop bottle openers on the side. Hit me!

I remember this add, it takes me back to a time when we played with our toys, hot summer fun....baseball...frisbee...swimming...childhood.

This follow-up to the standard "It's the Real Thing" commercial/jingle ad campaign wasn't used for long, but it was always my favorite. Terrific!

It's because the phosphoric acid ingredient in Coke rapidly breaks down the can liner, and well, tastes metallic.Glass IS best!
