Pointless to judge sound system on Mp3. Use proper original DVD or Blu Ray disk to get Proglogic dobly pro and DTS surround. Then check out audio performance of home theater...

Doesn't matter if you added another sub, it's still a 7.1 setup. (7 Channels of highs and mids, 1 channel of lows.) Center, right, left, side right, side left, rear right, rear left, subwoofer. Besides, another channel of subwoofers is pointless, considering the fact that bass is omni-directional...

Hey i am strongly considering purchasing this system, but i wanted to really make sure that the Bass of the system is really that good... Obviously because im watching this over youtube, i cant experience the FULL BASS punch of this system... So i was wondering.. at 1:29, is there enough bass there to make the room shake and fill your ears with bass vibration? And does the quality of the music decrease as you turn it up louder? this sound system, along with dvd players and blu-ray players all come with audio and video converters which split the rear speaker output from 5.1 into 2 sources so you get both side and rear speaker output from 7.1

i only have sony MHC GN-1300D. this hifi 5.1. 70% i use for music and 30% for dvd movie 5.1. love to hear music loud clear and still hear the acoustic even stay bit far from the speaker. but how about this 7.1 muteki ??? i am so courious..... should i change to this muteki or wait till better sony maybe next next year ??? thanks

Ive go this Stereo about a week ago its pretty awesome.. the only things i disliked where the fact that it doesn't support Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio and it didn't have many music equalizer presets but i cant get other the sound its just awesome :)

@Skidzboy You answered your own question if you buy gear that produces SOUND based on how it LOOKS.

These systems are cheap and junky. Any audiophile would laugh at it next to real stereo gear. The numbers Sony prints with regards to how powerful ALL of their audio gear are greatly exaggerated on purpose, which comes in handy when factoring in the people who buy these things don't even know what the terms mean. Sound quality should be more important than made up power ratings anyway.

@sct911 7.4 isn't any more clearer..... There's nothing clear about bass.... the 7.4 version is the same as the 7.2 except it has an extra amp and two more subs....... more bass! but if you ask me twin 10s is still enough to shake my trophies off the shelf... You get alot for what you pay for.
