BP? Struggling with their latest accident it looks, the idiots.
No thought on how to deal if a certain scenario takes place.
Typical conglomerate pricks, even if it suposed to be a British company.
I remember when BP was a British company - my dad bought his 1963 Ford Anglia and his 1965 Ford Cortina 1500 super two door, with column shift, from a garage that also sold BP petrol/gas, with the sign then high above the road. Innocent times, you could say!
I cant stand all these bozos queing to be one of the first to have an i phone and things like that, and then they show it off, like it makes them a superior person or something,so what you spent some cash. What sheep.anyone agree.
Thx mate, well done, even if the song cuts off the second part. However this is my favourite H17 song, one of their very early ones, still proud to have the UK 12" as it was never released in Germany, it was huge in the clubs at that time anyway, think there is no official video from this right?
I would have loved to carry on for the second part, but I was struggling to get the images by the end of the video and besides I think I make my point within the main bit of the track. Yes, you are right. There was no official video. Thanks for the comment
My economic life is so fucking shit. I've always been sick of the fucking rat race. I'm a low earner. I drive a lorry. These greedy bastard companies exploit 3rd world cheap labour and STILL pay crap wages here, while raking it in. Balls to it, I'm joining the global terrorists. Thanks for this life changing post.
Calm down- sit down, have a cup of tea and think about it first. No need to do anything drastic like that- do what I do, mouth off via the keyboard at any opportunity, it helps take the edge off the crap of modern life.
It was one of their earlier tracks, just after their Reagan annoying 'Facist Groove' released; so they were trying to dancing with the establishment bigtime and all that. So the correct prediction of future City politics did frightened some big people, whoever they are.

If I remember right that synth quarking is by the Boys of Buddah as in the Play to Win track off Penthouse and Pavement. They're better known, I think, as Heaven 17 themselves. Must have been an 'in' joke.
well "i'm your monry" still osunds very relevant and modern in fact it is so good that it sounds kinda like how today tries to do "retro" only its better!.
there is a lesson to be learnt and i agree we are following for the sake, as the bible says "do not idolise false gods" lol i wonder if it means this mass consumerism? the world would be better off with out it.
Consumerism has become religion it's followers are the buyers, that buy in to it. Years of advertising through television has brainwashed the public into thinking product means happiness, not love. And we are on the verge of becoming product ourselves.
I think there is a wider issue here with consumerism. Are global brands dictating what we want or are they simply feeding what the consumer craves?.For example Sainsburys,Tesco reject tons of unwanted fruit n veg every year to loss of farmers so are they forming consumer ideals or just accepting that some old dear wont buy an onion because its not perfectly round.
It is still just about possible to buy fruit & veg from markets and shops. I do whenever I can and I'm pretty happy with my mis-shaped vegtables - in fact I prefer them!
I hate the idea of Christmas taking up 3months of the year.I have at some point bought these brands so maybe I am to blame as well.A nice film with a good tune.Keep fighting the fight Arthur.
Yes I think so - or perhaps ban exchanging money to promote things with the aim that whenever someone on TV says that something is the best thing ever - they actually mean it!
just re-discovered this after pc went t-ts up. a real good presentation, many thanks to the dude who put this together

I love that mid-range synth quacking during the foreign language parts ("kafuen sie diese" etc).
A pity that the song is cut in the end.
