  • Nina Gordon's voice made a huge impact in Veruca Salt image.

  • I still don't know why Nina had to leave VS. She's struggled and VS hasn't been the same. At least Louise is carrying on.

  • Is she Louise Post? Looked so much better with black hair...think so.

  • Nicole Fiorentino has a habbit of ruining bands

  • @discardmyfriends I would have to go ahead and disagree with you there. I think Nicole is rarely the problem, but tends to wind up in the picture after the glory days had already passed anyway.

  • This should have been big here in Australia! I feel fucking ripped off! It's as good as anything they did in the nineties. Kudos to Louise for continuing to kick serious rockin' arse. God I hate the music industry now.

  • Still a good band but not the same without Nina. Odds are very slim she'll join again.

  • no one read the comments, I got so sick from the stupid willy wonka references

  • Veruca Salt without Nina Gordon... so weird.

  • @rickman33 why did she leave?

  • @misspiaco creative differences. louise and nina also had bit of a falling out.

  • @TheSleepyGuitarist OK, thank you for responding.

  • @misspiaco Their falling out might have had to do with a guy that one of them (Louise) stole from the other. But not sure. Just heard that once was all.

  • @LedWilde Ah I wouldn't have guessed that. Too bad though.

  • I love this song. This is the only song I like from "IV".

  • Miss Veruca Salt from 90's with Nina Gordon. Although Nicole Fiorentino along with Melissa Auf Der Maur have to be hottest bassists around.

  • This stryker form Crash FM!!!

  • iS THIS THE "I WANT IT NOW" GIRL FROM WILLIE WONKA?

  • Charlie in the Chocolate Factory to this

  • the breeders!?!!?!?

  • @NotTheRedBaron8

    YES THE BREEDERS.

ARE U GONNA SAY VERUCA SALT IS BETTER THAN THEM????

  • I wish that NIna and Louise would just bury the hatchet already.

  • Is that Wes Boreland of Limp Bizkit fame on guitar!!!??? If not he is a dead ringer.

  • not the same band from the 90s.

    great perfornace nonetheless.

gotta tell you though. youtube posting sucks!!!!!

  • Nina did a song called "Fade to Black" it's a live song from a Festival in Washington I think. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a it?

  • the bass looks happy

  • @thedayitriedtodie She should be really happy now. She's now the bassist for Smashing Pumpkins.

  • @ryankon518

actually i meant the bass player is hot, that's why the bass was happy.

  • @thedayitriedtodie Oh well that is true to. She's the hottest looking bassist I know.

  • @ryankon518

that would b kim deal, actually.

  • @thedayitriedtodie Oh right you are. I thought this was a video from 2007. That's when Nicole joined. Sorry for that mistake!

  • @ryankon518

kim is from the pixies, breeders, the amps...

    nothing to do with VSalt.

i was just saying she's hotter, that's all.

  • i like this band but i just expect more from the vocals and lyrics the riff is really raw though

  • The interviewers/announcers look like some american idol clone.... How come these days all these shows that show live music seem so freaking fake and overly produced. its almost like watching artificial crap. OF COURSE I AM NOT INCLUDING VERUCA SALT. Its just that the whole atmosphere is soooo freaking fake and cold. The only thing that seems to have a little life in it, is when this ho announcer is talking about 50shit and Gsuckballs. FU announcer girl!

  • Stryker is that dean off from "Charm School With Ricki Lake."

  • stryker is the dean of shit

  • I miss Nina, but I still like Louise

  • i remmber veruca salt from charlie and the chocolate factory

  • I want a FEAST, i want a BEAN FEAST

  • Don't CARE how, I want it now!

  • Why are all of the Direct TV posts so low in volume?

  • idk but if you have their satellite service, their freakin commercials are sooo loud man

  • I do, and you are absolutely correct. I effing HATE that.

  • Is it Nina Gordon (the right one)?

  • No, It's not.

  • nina left the band years back shes not in this one.

  • is that dude's name seriously "stryker"? what a dick.

  • The presenters are so condescending... And weird...

  • I love this band. So under rated.

  • Is this The Person From The Movie ??

  • No.

  • Louise fucking ROCKS!!!!

  • put

  • Louise looked better with black hair.

    But she still rocks!

  • I think she went lighter to set herself apart from her bassist a bit. Louise almost looks younger here than when Nina was in the band.

  • Nina never sold out. In fact the kind of music she sings now is the kind of music she was always into. That"s what made VS so good, everyone had different tastes. Nina and drummer liked Madonna alot Lol, Whereas Louise liked more of those girl rock bands and harder rock/punk stuff.

  • Louise Post just rocks and is hot.

  • This is the best lineup of the band I've seen yet. IV has some of their best songs on it. This performance wasn't my favorite, but whatevs, Louise is a goddess.

  • Nina has totally and I mean TOTALLY SOLD OUT !!! her "new" music is CRAPOLA !! At least Louise has stayed true to herself and what Veruca Salt is about.More power to Louise Post & crew.

  • Her and Nina need to have a reunion and she should color her hair black again. hehe.

  • omg louise is so adorable, i can't stand it.

  • im not gonna be nice i wanna fuck her friend and ill leave it at that

  • This isnt bad stuff , but with out Nina its just not the Veruca salt i want to hear as bad

  • Yeah, the thing is, I'm hardly Veruca Salt's biggest fan by any means, but it seems different without Nina. I've always thought when a key member, songwriting or the like leaves a band, it should start afresh with a new name, because it will never be the same. I mean the stuff they come up with might not be bad by any means, but people will have expectations of such and such. But that's my opinion, feel free to argue against it.

  • I don't know if they have or not, but I would hope that for the sake of music that Nina and Louise patch up their differences. I still remember seeing clips of them on MuchMusic being interviewed shopping at a store together, and they are talking about how they are the best of friends, and it makes me sad to think that one of the most amazing musical partnerships since Lennon/McCartney had to break up so acrimoniously. I fear an enmity exists between them of John Fogerty-like proportions.

  • Both Nina & Louise are living in L.A and according to Louise they have sorted out their differences and speak to each other. But she said she doesnt think that their relationship will ever be as close as it once was.

  • I'll argue for it CSchwarten....I still in Chicago waiting for the original Veruca. Guess I'll be waiting awhile...lol

    some really great times....

  • IV is a really good album. They still sound pretty 90's to me, which is great because I really missed that. And Louise is just as beautiful as ever.

  • we need more grunge sound like this

  • Their so much different...but not in a bad way, im getting into the newer veruca salt now....I guess its just that I was associated with the nina gordon veruca salt before these....oh well, their good just the same

  • Fuck those other stupid band comparisons in this thread....Veruca Salt rules!

  • I definately hear the local h worship going on with that guitar part

  • good song!

    new veruca salt isn't bad

but i thikn the sentence "You don't know me, You don't own me" is so similar to "With the lights out, it's less dangerous" in "Smell Likes Teen Spirit"

but i don't care, the whole son is unique and good!

  • what happened to the other chick ???

  • Nina Gordon left the group and went solo in 2000

  • Sounds a little to close to the pre-chorus to Local H's "High Fivin' Mf. Yes i'm aware Scott dated Louise.

  • Intro sounds exactly like the Strokes' Tonight. Still an excellent song from an great band, despite the loss of Nina Gordon

  • Veruca Salt is stronger than ever! Being a musician in L.A., I've had the privilege of meeting the old band and the new. Louise is the humble sweetheart you see in this interview....Rock On Weezy! Lv U Sweetie!

  • LOL i agree Dietpepsivanilla!

  • What I always though was really cool, is that even though Veruca Salt are highly underappreciated, the majority of people who watch the performances are completely blown away. It's awesome.

  • louise was always my fav (and is SO COOL at the end of this video) but veruca salt withou nina is still weird... but not SO WEIRD. the fact that louise is still out there rocking our asses is just great.

  • I saw Veruca Salt open for Bush in 96 or 97, they totally stole the show. I couldn't believe how hard they rocked!

  • I wish Louise would just get it over with and marry me already.

  • OMG! How can she marry you when she clearly wants to marry me?? lol

  • @PylonSalt She clearly wants non of you.

  • @PylonSalt cancel the wedding, she said yes to me too!

  • @motleyrob Are you going to dump her for Nina Gordon like others have in the past?

  • I'm glad this band is still going. There aren't too many rock ladies with staying power like Joan Jett and more recently Pink.

  • How dare you mention Pink in the same sentence as Joan Jett.

  • Too right!!

  • Terrible. Once Nina left it all went down hill

  • This song and album is just as good as any previous work by VS. I'm so grateful Louise continues to rock in today's day and age where good music is hard to come by.

  • Wasn't Veruca Salt the name of that rich bratty girl in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? lol.

  • yeah thats where they got the name.

  • I think its a pretty rad performance. The mic is just set weirdly. :) So weird. Love it!

  • Wow Louise lloks hot as a blond. New CD is sic BTW!!

  • nice vocals.

  • i´m gladd they still play ,( 11-30-06 ) that´s niCe , SO !!!!!!!!

  • they need to get that addictive sound back that they had in the early 90's

  • Fucking amazing. I had the amazing chance to hang out with them at a concert! I love them all. Louise is my effing hero!

  • louise was usually lead guitar wasnt she. actually she was equal. i dont really like how she carried on the name, but good on her cos she rox and shes hot as

  • and Louise is freaking wasted.

  • I love Veruca Salt, but yeah, this sucks.

  • Whenever a band loses such a significant component - whether you like or dislike it/them - I find it difficult to fathom why they can justifiably continue as a band under the same name.

  • amen! nina was the flag carrier of veruca salt.

  • Louise and Nina had extremely different writing stlyes and vocal stylings. Just now, the songs sound more like "Striaght", "Shutterbug", and "Don't make me Prove It". They are a lot less poppy now, and they are still great.

  • Blasphemy Tim550! Perhaps some of their music was better with Nina Gordon, but you have to hand it to Louise for still making quality Veruca Salt rock. What did Nina Gordon do? Oh, that's right, she had that one song that sounded like "Building a Mystery" by Sarah McLachlan and then sang about ponies and shit and now nobody cares about her.

  • lol.

  • This band was 1000 times BETTER with Nina Gordon... the original blonde who played lead and sang lead. This band sucks now!

  • D: I liked Nina.

But you're right. Louise has done a great job carrying on. Resolver and IV are both great CD's that have the same Veruca Salt sound we all love.

  • The song is realyy bad also... so sorry...

  • are you kidding me?

those girls are like goddesses. =]

  • where's the volume? stupid

  • Sorry, that's the way the file came and there are no other/better versions out yet.

  • really? seen a bunch of them on here. Too bad my soundcheck video of this will never be shown here. I was the only one at the soundcheck...me and the band and soundman.

  • The riff sounds eerily familiar to Stone Temple Pilots' "No Way Out"...

  • veruca salt, great band!

  • nicole, their new bassist, is sooo hot it hurts.

  • can you turn the volume up too quiet

  • thanks

  • 1 of my fave bands

  • I like the new album , beats their last album for sure

  • veruca salt? like from willy wonka? she's a musician?

  • That was pretty good actually. Not too keen on the new album but I think it might be a grower.
