You see, with the great advances in physiotherapy and the greater understanding of nutrition for aiding fitness, players are often able to retain a lot of their pace even into their mid 30s. However, most lose acceleration (a good example is Sol Campbell, still fast at top speed but slow getting going), and that is what is impressive here. The quickness in which he gets to full speed for a 37 year old is incredible and proof that tenacity pays!
