It could possibly be luck with some skill but all good players in Gears1 will AIM at that distance when thry have 15 seconds to shoot the shot instead of waiting for the lucky blindfire. The angle spread causes the shot to have some slight inaccuracies and no one who's good at Gears would take that risk. You'd only blindfire around cover as you don't risk much or you do it at close range quick fire.

Makes no sense to spend 20 seconds lining up a blindfire.

What the hell. I have never played Call of Duty, however I have heard the term hipfire in many cases and, if you had half a brain, you too would know that. Blindfiring is shooting out of cover when your character isn't looking and shooting from the hip is where you are facing someone to shoot them, but not aiming. No one ever gets it straight............
