Thanks for the feedback. I have since checked the Disc Clinic with a mint unscratched CD-R, and scratches were made.
Upon inspection I found out that the cleaning pads are at fault. The screw holding them in are hanging out too much(even though they are in all the way) making circlular scracthes. Marks at either edge seem to be caused by the Pads themselves, but I don't know how.
I tried to return the fault product yesterday but woolworths had died.
