If you had helped the rebels out you would not need to stop everytime you see them, they will just let you pass.

Haha that "pointless" upstairs part you went to, is actually pretty handy. If you take a left, you can hold up the guards, and if your doing your second runthrough, it's the perfect place to take out that tank, and just be able to duck if it doesnt blow up the first time. Also you can just roll down, and with the right timing gaurds won't see you. Personally I've beaten the game 22 times, so I try to help the malitia win every battle without being detected :p. Good job though keep the walkthrou

anyone else here completely ignore the sneaking part on your second play through and just bust a cap in all the PMC's asses? thats what i did :D i just shot em all, walked through, helped the rebels, in the long run it helped, i just walked through the next section with them goign "hey its you!" and sometimes throwing me a ration or ammo. so yea, be nice to rebels and they might give you ammo or rations for free.

@sk8rluvr13 No its not. In MGS1 and MGS2 it was a Beretta 9mm that was converted to hold tranq rounds, in MGS3 its a Mk.22 if i remember correctly and in MGS4 its a Mk.2 so learn your MGS before commenting

@segazora The tranq is important because if you kill the enemy, they WILL scream and if they scream the enemies will hear him and check him out and they will call HQ and the backup will check the area, and the backup could see you and you get in trouble..............with the tranq you shoot at them they wont scream and if the enemy wakes him up he's not gonna call HQ, he's just gonna keep walking like nothing happened..............so the tranq is the MOST important gun in MGS series

uno before you walk into the militia safe house, if u go to the left right there u will find a RPG-7 and u can take out that tank. and if u keep following the militia there should be another RPG-7 up some stairs. should be next to some NIIICE noodles^^ wonder why it's noodles there but if u take down the second tank. u'll help the militia and they'll kinda respect you more than if you don't. just a hint... and you'll get the potato launcher xD faster

People might already know this but there is an rpg before you go into the safe house and if you blow up the two strykers and take all the pmc troops out you can walk through their safe house without them bothering you. Also they will have a heart above their heads and they will trade items with you.
