  • jack black could actually be a good singer and guitarist if he could be serious about it for 5 fucking seconds

  • @fjtomm90 regardless of the D's mission to "rebel against the serious singer/songwriter mentality," you cannot deny that Jables has an incredible voice, and Kage is a totally kickass guitarist. Good music doesn't need to be serious, and the D proves that. The music to their songs is incredible and the lyrics happen to be funny. They have written a serious song or two in the past, but that's just not where they shine.

  • damn ive been waiting to find this. damn vh1

  • Great version of this song and I've always loved Jack Black from when I first watched School of Rock.

  • AMAZING JOB Mr. BLACK !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Totally cool. Nice to see Daltrey joining in too!

  • Great to hear The WHO honoured as the greatest rock band EVER! The Stones for instance wrote some great tunes but never could hold a candle to The Who live.

  • CLASSIC!!!

  • Gotta love KG's white socks!

  • the who is the best

  • This is one of the rare times I actually enjoyed something Jack Black was associated with

  • @Rayla840 You are crazy, he is awesome!!

  • @stukica Haha, maybe. Just never found him funny. Although I loved his work on "Mr Show with Bob and David".

  • DELICIOUSNESS!!

  • Does JB throw his pick away and grab a new one at the speed of light at 2:47? 0o

  • @FPMarcel haha holy shit your right

  • Jack Black has got to be the hottest male celebrity ever.....in my opinion

  • The D can make acoustics sound crazy

  • When I was watching this on tv I KNEW they would play this! It just screams Tenacious D =D

  • @kungfoohy5599 agreed

  • Jack Black did a hell of a job of making this song even scarier that what i already thought it was XD.

  • I saw Donna Cash on this! Fantastic to see a fellow Wholigan on this clip.

    Christy

  • isn't it amazing how the audience love a song form a band they have probaly never heard of. everyone says the beatles are the greatest... but have they heard of The Who. Better still have they heard a Beatles track!!

  • Dare I say...better than the original?

  • @SGcomedy I think so... a huge fan of The Who, but this version is epic.

  • @SGcomedy

lol never they did a great job but will never come close to the who

  • @SGcomedy yes! agreed

  • great cover.

  • Can anyone write what Jack said at 0:29 ? "they were the first ones to ever really rock ¿?"

I'm learning english so... :) i think he said "hard" but can anyone correct me please?

  • Yes, that is what he says.

  • Thanks

  • @Introcepcion Yes he said rock hard

  • Thanks for the clarification :)

  • @Introcepcion yes he said "they were the first ones to ever rock, hard!" did i help?

  • Yes, thanks, now I got it clear. Sorry for being late, i had a "shaky" week.

    Thanks again :)

  • haha keep dreamin censor boy...

the who themselves said its about boobs =D

  • ha ha ha! great man!

  • one of the best versions

  • this is the dirtiest godam song ive ever heard lol you guys think raps dirty haha.

    fucking love the who though

and tenacious d listen to master exploder

  • Comment removed

  • the songs about a music instrument. . . they do make sexual inuendos though

  • @snolan80 Yea, I guess dispite the Whos intention the final verdict is up to the listener as far as how you want to percieve it... lots of people got dirty minds ya know.

  • Hory...have fun with it. They certainly did. So did the Who in many ways. If you want to talk about rock stars in love with themselves, look no further than the Who themselves. Pete is off the charts. So is Roger. Keith was the clown who needed constant attention. The Ox was the only one kept his mouth shut.

    The D rocks.

  • get a fucking sense of humour

  • He cant be that big of a blowhard cause their is quite a few people that like him and I dont think he made a mockery out of those bands

  • I can see where you're coming from, but I don't think he's trying to make fun of them...it's just how he gets into it. Whether he's into himself or not, he loves the music and, like he said, is honored to honor it. It's just his style. Myself, I think it goes well with a Who song...wouldn't mind hearing him do others. Cage is just f-ing amazing as well.

  • I don't know if you have checked out any of Jacks other covers, but i've got a video with some of them. Or just look up "Tenacious D Who medley" IT is amazing, has music from Tommy.

  • squeeze box sound like country to me but its a hit baby.

  • haha it sounds dirty, but it's really not. a squeeze box is actually an instrument

  • I think its more of an innuendo so it is dirty, its just a little obivous you know :P

  • is just me or is this song a little dirty

  • They did a great job.

  • I love this!! JB does a great job!! But the lady w/ the dreads scares me!!

  • @kj2girls she's a throwback to i don't know when!

  • as muhc as i love tenacious d, the banjo solo completes this song

  • JB really puts energy in this. I fuckin love it.

  • And it goes in and out and in and out...

    too fuckin' right

  • lol kage looks like he's scared as hell

  • cool cover!

  • lol black looks like a fucking sasquatch in this one :D

  • That made me laugh :D

  • Who is better, but still an awesome cover.

  • Almost as good as their other tribute to The Who - Tommy. I wish they would have played that during the night, it would've been epic.

  • I fackin love The Who and Tenacious D

  • THANKS!!

I was searching for this vid for a long time THANKS!
