Steve was an asshole. There is no bigger Journey fan on the planet, but he did this. I was also of the belief that if there's no Steve theres no Journey, but Arnel proved me wrong. He is just as good vocally and HE APPRECIATES IT RATHER THAN TAKING IT FOR GRANTED

I think you really have problem 'cause you don't seem to understand. He did not try to be or sound like Perry. He just happens to be born with the voice that similar to Perry. God gave him that gift. It doesn't matter if he hits the key or not, the point is he got a gift. If he is not up to your exceptions in vocals, then you really have bad ears. If he is not good enough then the band wouldn't go across the country looking for him. With Arnel, Journey is able to move forward.
