That's quite a difficult arrangement, with all the jazzy chords you throw into it. It sounds great! Gets a thumbs up from me. Nice work on the guitar, and also the vocal.
AMAZING. Youtube never ceases to surprise me! That is one of the most beautiful versions of one of my favorite songs that I've ever heard. I've been teaching it to my two year old son, and just wanted him to see some other people singing it. Little did I know I'd find this random person who sounds like Peggy Lee meets Antonio Carlos Jobim all by herself! Well done, random youtube woman... I'll be checking out the rest of your videos.
Beautifully done!! I used to sing this song in a Barbershop quartet. The time, 1:13 min/sec corresponds to I (9) Am (14) One (655)' = 678 = 113 prime X 6. I was just called to receive and share a new version of this song yesterday with these lyrics:
I really liked your treatment of this song, but there is no Bb augmented on "sweet song." The melody is an F natural. I'm sure whatever source you learned it from had it incorrect as well, as this is a common mistake. There is a video on YouTube of Ethel Merman and Perry Como and another with Susan Hayward where they sing the correct melody. I don't mean to be critical, just wanted to point out this (common) error.
I might have the sheet music somewhere but it's pretty easy. The second four bars (which start with "There'll be no more sobbin'") are identical to the first four bars, except for the very last note which is D natural at the end of bar four and an F natural at the end of bar 8.
Thanks, Yes, it's better that way, I see. I'll have to redo it. I accidentally hit the open e string in the first line too and that's driving me nuts!
Thanks for this, my mother bought me this 45 record when I was about 7 years old....it was the start of my love of music that continues to this day. Great memories!
Thanks for posting this out here! My Grandmother used to sing this song all the time, so whenever we see a robin we think of her. I've been trying to teach the song to my daughter (who happens to be named after her :) ) and I couldn't find a version of it anywhere. Thanks again, great job with it!

What if I've been blue
Now I'm walking through fields of flowers
Rain may glisten but still I listen for hours and hours
Oh I'm just a kid again doing what I did again
Singing a song
When the FED FED Robbin goes rob rob robbin along - FOR GOOD!
smartbandwidth 2 years ago
What if I've been unlucky
Really haven't a thing
But there's a time I always feel happy
As happy as a King!
When the FED FED Robin goes rob rob robbing along along
There'll be no more sobbin when we start singing this new sweet song
Oh wake up wake up you sleepyheads
AUDIT, AUDIT, AUDIT THE FEDS!!
Cheer up, cheer up the sun is red
Live love laugh and be happy

I heard a robin this morning
I'm feeling happy today
I'm going to pack my cares in a whistle
And blow them all away

Great. I love this version.
I love the verse too, which would be a nice thing for you to add. You really had a great feel with your voice as well. Super changes.

amarildo, I accidentally deleted your comment when I was going to reply to it. It's a very old jazz tune from the 1920s that I made into a bossa.
