i have a bad computer and i have a 10 fps rate on detailed maps or at least close ok not that much detailed and i dont really know my specs but i can run css with everything on high could i run crysis on at least low? i know the graphics arent good but still?

$650 in Australia. Good price? I am hoping to play Crysis on High settings 1440x900 and get an avg of 25 fpz and a minimum of around 17. Will it be true? Or should i upgrade to the 8800 ultra in 4 months time? I am not going SLI with 1440x900.

That system looks great. But fuck, dont do the mistake to buy the old GTS for christ sake! The 8800 GT is better and it's cheaper. If you want a GTS then go for the new GTS, 512 mb, better then the GT and therefore much better than the 640. and it costs just as much as the 640.

its the series that counts, not just the number of mb's

Indeed as z0d0a0y says, its not the memory that counts. Its the arcitechture of the gpu, numbers of streamprocessors, and the clockspeed, bandwidth etc. the GTS has bigger bandwidth, but the GT has more streamprocessors and also supports HDMI and features PCI Express 2.0 interface. The GT is new and faster all around and the best is that it is cheaper. make sure that your chipset is not VIA, VIA chipsets cand handle this card. I know, because I have one, and I need a new mobo.

I will be playing it at 1280x1024.

I am shocked to see you playing at such low fps for the specs you are using, considering all the stuff i've been reading about the card.

is there a difference between your processor and the Intel i plan to get?

Well the best processor out there gets like 40-50 fps more? lol , thats alot.. , depend on games.

but imma be playing at low reso like 1280x1024 and i just wanna play HL2 anyway

if u wanna play Crysis and DX10 games you will need the C2D e6750. why not get Q6600?

In the future imma upgrade just to play DX10 games. :P
