wow...born and lived off base in 54 and lived there until 68. My American father was civil engineer working civil service at desalination plant and my uncle in AF ran Officers Club. Went to elementry school on base for two years until my British mother put us in English schools on island. Moved to US in 68 and never went back...cousins did and said it was not the place we grew up. Interesting vid.
Wow indeed! Was there 61 to 64 as a child. Best childhood memories for sure. Clearwater beach! Riding the shuttle bus alone all around the base at age 7-9 without any security worries. Times have changed.
my YouTube channel has some vlogs that refer to things that happened when I was a kid growing up in Bermuda. Most of my subs know I grew up there. I had vids, mostly humorous ones, on my sister and I growing up there. The only one still up is "Being Bicultural: One Language." I spent some time on base, not as much as my cousins who were I guess more military kids. My dad was a civil servant and my mother English so our life didn't involve the base as much.
Great and brings back memories. Stationed there in mid 50's--worked at base theatre in all positions. Think it is now called Southside Cinema. Would like some photos if available.
Awesome! I was stationed there from 1987 until 1990. Very fond memories!

we lived outside of the base when I was a child. My Dad was a Chaplain on the base in the 60's. Thanks for stirring up alot of fond memories.
