Unless it's a 2007-08 HR 350Z, the G37 walks the 03-06 350Z every single time unless a shift is missed, and it keeps pulling further ahead as the speeds rise. This was an automatic G37 in this video and neither was stock as you know.

The G37 sedan is 58 pounds lighter than the G37 coupe. It has the same engine & transmissions according to the 2009 brochure I have in front of me. How could the lighter sedan be slower?

@ambientflier power to weight ratio is essential but ur missing two things. thats a 2004 model about 287hp vs a G37 with 330hp. The second bit is that the VQ37VHR has the torque curve flattened out so it can reach its max torque a bit later but stays on it longer that its previous engine in the 04 350 giving it more torque in acceleration which is greatly benefit at the G37 7600 RPM redline.
Thanks to those two factors the 0-60 times in the much heavier and bigger G37 is the same as a 350z
@ak15567 It's heavier, but the reason why it's just as quick is because of the much better top end. The Z still has more torque in the low end with the older DE engine, and due to its weight, feels even better.

BTW more torque in the low end is good but in the 350z case the torque is sharply curve losing like 30% of its torque in the end as opposed to G37 10% at the end.

the specs, some magazines test curb weight "dry", and others test it "wet" with fuel. etc.
