Even without a knowledge of French, this song moves me to tears, having heard the song many years ago performed by the American group The Browns with Jim Ed Brown, I was able to follow the gist. Had no idea until this prompted me to check out Wikpedia on Edith's bio that it's popularity originated with Her. Thank You, from Texas.
