This song is actually called "Painted In Yellow" it was co-written by Boston singer/songwriter Chad Perrone. The middle part of this song, "Wake wake me up" is directly taken from Chad's song "Awake in the Morning" off his 2008 CD Wake. The song was recorded by me and produced by me and Chad at my studio in Haverhill MA. you can hear the studio version of the song at my website under the Audio tab. Enjoy.
This song is actually called "Yellow" it's about growing up in Brooksville, FL. the verses speak of some of their times."Elaine" from the "I miss you Elaine" is a friend of his that passed away whose favorite color was Yellow. He played this song for me about a month after he finished it. Beautifully put together.
He really did a wonderful job. I asked him after the show what the name of the song was and he said "Painted it all Yellow" (but the song was listed on the song list as "Yellow"). Maybe he uses both?
You really shouldn't comment because you have NO clue about any of this. The song is called "Painted in Yellow". It was written in memory of Bronson's mother-in-law, Elaine Faught which he pays honor to her when singing it. She passed away on May 11, 1997 of pancreatic cancer. Her favorite color was yellow and it is beautifully put together but that is about the only thing you got right.
i do apologize, when he mentioned the name of the song, he referred to it as "yellow." In reality ozzy asked him if he had finished "yellow" and he said yes, and that someone had been helping him work on his writing skills b/c he couldn't put his thoughts into a song. I wasn't in any way shape or form knocking this song. The way the song is written and played is tremendous. Songs like these are why music is played. Songs that have meaning.
Actually alot of the words, thoughts and emotions that went into this came along many years ago after my mother's passing. Aimee (his ex-wife) and Bronson put alot of it on paper. I am glad that he finally had some help in shaping it up and putting it together so beautifully and actually recording it. Now you can educate people on the history of this song and how it came to fruition... My mother loved Bronson and would be so proud to know how much he loved her...
You can check out the video clip of "Painted in Yellow" with Bronson Arroyo and Jamie Spencer that was just posted over the weekend that they performed on Friday night in Brooksville for a Cancer Charity Concert
Thanks for posting this. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the show, although having tickets, my car over heated on the way there. He has improved SO much as artist. Would love to hear him try out bass guitar.

You "actually'' quoted the song incorrectly and I take offense to someone quoting something as "actually" when Bronson wrote this about MY MOTHER!!

Call me crazy but I think when someone is posting a comment for all to see they may want to know what they are "actually" talking about
