  • i hit that prick that talks about the race at the end. fucking annoying slevery twat

  • Love being proven right; Hurricane Fly won like a superstar, and Im afraid that is just how good Dunguib is. Cant believe its another year to Cheltenham :-(

  • DUNGUIB will cause the biggest surprise of the festival on day one. Outstanding horse, his hurdling will have improved.

He can conquer Menorah, its Hurricane Fly who I worry about.

  • not really overrated-it was the bookies and not the people min racin that hyped him-his hurdlin has been dodgy at times but it hasnt stopped his momentum, plau its been ironed out-check out his gowran race, when the pace quickened his jumping was perfect at the last 3

  • After his re-appearance win at Gowran, he seemed to hurdle much better than anytime last season, but im still convinced his jumping will not hold up in a properly run 2 mile Champion hurdle. Hurricane Fly is the best we've had since Istabraq, i really think 4/1 or 9/2 is free money, i believe hes different class to anything else in the field. Roll on Cheltenham!!!! Best of luck to all :-)

  • all these horses are good in there own right postcardterry , dunguib needs to improve by a mile to compeat again binocular and hurricane fly .. watch that radobank chamion hurdle and u will see that hurricane fly is the monster

  • azertyuiop hit nail on head for me! overated horse just watch the radobank champion hurdle at punchestown and watch hurricane fly fly past them all.. now thats a machine ..

  • @oiuslag12 What are you talking about overrated? The second won The Ascot Gold Cup! Dunguib is a monster

  • @postcardterry

when i say dunguib is over rated, i mean as a hurdler. as a bumper horse he was faultless but his hurdling has been well below the standard expected of a top 2 mile hurdler.

however the hype surorunding him during his novice campaign certainly didnt help when he was being touted as a future arkle and was fav for the 2011 champion hurdle even before he had ran in the 2010 supreme novices.

but like i say in a top class fast run 2 mile race, his jumping just isnt good enough

  • @azertyuiop32 it is also worth mentioning that for a "disappointing horse",he is only 8/1 as I write for the Champion Hurdle.

  • @postcardterry your comments are fair but I don`t think the horse was so overrated. My one negative regarding Dunguib is that he started hurdling a little late.He is a year older than Binocular who seems to have been around years.See you Then was seven when he won his third Champion Hurdle.Dunguib has form with an Ascot Gold Cup winner and three very good hurdlers in Oscar Whiskey,Menorah and the McManus horse so there is still hope for him

  • @oiuslag12 I cant agree that Azertyioup was over-rated, he was a top notch 2 mile chaser who just got a bad injury he could never recover from. The image of him, Moscow Flyer and Well Chief thundering around Sandown in the Tingle Creek will never leave me. 3 of the best chasers ever, just a shame that injury plagued both Azertyioup and Well Chief.

  • @MrAido78

azertyuiop definetely wasnt over rated. he ran in a golden era of 2 mile chasers. the fact he won the haldon gold cup off 174 and achieved a rating of 178 yet still wasnt the top 2 miler of his generation shows just how strong the 2 mile division was back then not to mention how brilliant moscow flyer was

  • @azertyuiop32 Wasnt that what i said?! Fantastic horse in his prime, the Tingle Creek and his Arkle win still makes me tingle!!!

  • @MrAido78

yeah it was. i was merely agreeing with you mate.

his arkle win was effortless. his jumping was very quick and very slick. he was a great horse in his pomp. in just about any other era he would have been top 2 miler by some distance.

dont know how we got to talking about azertyuiop on a dunguib video anyway lol. must be because of my username

  • good bumper horse but put some flights of hurdles in front him and its a completely different story.

    top class?? never

over hyped?? without a shadow of a doubt.

  • he wasn't good enough on the day, no point blaming O Connell, i Lost £50 000 on him , Had £100,000 on imperial so didn't bother me:)

  • @MasKedButTrue your full of shite!

  • @conorfl18 Why is that?

  • no other jockey will ever get an Opportunity to ride him ,brian o connell is the only jockey that knows him, as he is with him every day,and knows how to handle him best.

  • i do c ur point, but da supreme '10 was basicaly a lack of no-how and experience by o'connell. he held him up far 2 much n ran WAY 2 wide. if ruby was ridin e wud av pisd it. dis horse is a star and deserves a star jockey. da likes of dunguib n long run wil neva reach da heights dey deserve wid mediocre jockeys. ok, mayb da long run situation cant b helpd wid da owners bt, dey need 2 wise u fast. if dey want 2 get da best out of a potential superstar, dey need 2 b sensible n giv geraghty da ride

  • @bozlike, sorry mate, but Im still struggling to see what Sam Waley-Cohen did wrong on Long Run? Hes a horse well known for not respecting his fences, hes just needed time to adjust to UK fences, which are far different to French-style fences. I think hes adapting, no???? And Dunguib is a bloody good horse, just not good enough, or was maybe just over the top last season? Time will tell when he eventually re-appears, but i suspect the horse is just shy of top class. We shall see.

  • @MrAido78 I agree with most of what you are saying but i think dubguib is top class hasnt done much wrong in his life, you look at his beating of rite of passage who is a gold cup winner on the flat i can assure you not many horses would beat rite of passage over hurdles or over 2 miles on the flat dubguib travels very well over the ground and i would love to see him bring his A game to cheltenham and see how he goes i dont think he would beat hurricanefly or binocular unless he ran them ragged

  • what does my head in is everybody criticises the jockeys performance in the supreme but brian o connell will of been ordered to do that by connections so how can anyone say it was a bad ride when he did what he was instructed.

  • why not try a season on the flat, with a proper flat jockey. he looks quite lightly made so decent ground should be fine, could win all sorts in the warm!!

  • aj martin in the mix to train him ???????

  • prick of a jockey on this horse, fucked up at cheltenham, cost me alot of money :(

  • The third won the Ascot Gold cup. How can anyone fault this performance.

  • @TheEdgt

this performance certainly cannot be faulted. very impressive.

it is his exploits as a hurdler in the top races that were disappointing given the huge hype that surrounded him.

  • @azertyuiop32

Fair comment. Pace in the Supreme was slow relative even to The Arkle chase that followed. He jumped too slow and spent too much time in the air . Probably should stick to the flat. I have no doubt D. K. Weld would if he had him. A J Martin was in the mix to train him. Now that would have been FUN !

  • @TheEdgt

i will be watching his first run of the season with interest to see if his jumping has improved any over the summer. although his bubble burst in spectacular style at cheltenham, i still wouldnt completely write him off just yet. plus i would still like to see a more experienced jockey put on him.

  • @TheEdgt Why would it be fun? If Tony got his hands on him he'd just be running in handicaps! Trying to pull strokes!!

  • @DamienCaffrey

Imagine him in the Ebor or other big flat handicaps, a horse with a potential rating of 120 or so. My dream ( most bookies nightmare) is of A j Martin training for a syndicate of Japanese punters!

  • the hype surrounding this horse was way out of control and totally unjustified.

he cant jump and is ridde by an amatuer jockey and in all senses of the word.

  • I would love to see him win today and look like the champion we all thought he was before cheltenham. Would be great for a smallish trainer to come across a real champion to go to war with and i hope we see one today. It would be a great achievement for a novice to beat these class 2 milers and he still has plenty to learn, well see at half 5. Whatever happens it should be a great race.

  • can he beat the pro's today? hes got to step up a great deal but fenton thinks he learned alot at cheltenham. Hurricane Fly was a brilliant novice but he might need the run today. The ground is on the fast side for Solwhit and he has a bad run at cheltenham to put behind him but he is a real class horse. Punjabi is in the same boat but he usually runs well at Punchestown and he wont mind the ground. I dont think the ground will beat Dunguib, hell either be good enough or not.

  • mmm mmmmmmm fuck

  • will not be beaten.

  • they shouldnt bother turning up

  • bottom right of the screen, thats his head lad goin nuts lol at 3.53

  • he's gonna win the supreme by about 58 lengths

  • Good prediction :L

  • Lovely, lovely horse

  • pure class
