  • Beautiful to hear this fabulous singers even though Sherrill is showing some vocal problems already. By the way... what an AWFUL DRESS June has. Just horrendous!

  • I'm seraching for the comlete gala!!Do you have it?It is amazing how beautiful Luciano's voice was!!!Bravo!!

  • Just sublime! Love the opera, love the quartet(one of my favourite bits of the opera actually) and love all four of these singers. Pavarotti is in great voice, Kabaivanska is one classy lady, Anderson is the best actress on the stage and she sings beautifully and her chemistry with Milnes is a treat, and Milnes(my personal favourite in general of the four) sings each phrase intelligently and I have never known him to just stand there and sing even in concert.

  • Why isn't stuff like this brought on tv anymore in the USA?

  • Il sommo Puccini riesce a creare una unica stupenda melodia con quattro personaggi di diverso carattere.veramente unico e sopratutto moderno

  • Incidentally, this fabulous quartet, or twin duet if you prefer, was originally an art song called "Sole E Amore."

It wasn't well as received as it deserved to be, so Puccini recycled it in Boheme.

Someone posted an Kabaivanska's version of it on YouTube.

  • What's the title of this quartet?

  • "Dunque è proprio finita" from 3-rd act of the opera.

  • Thank you.

  • Wonderful. Thank you so much.

  • Very Nice!

  • I love this, really rare clip. Thanks

  • Milnes is dropping lines like it's a bad habit.

  • Really? Which ones?

  • It doesn't get much better than this! Thank you so much for sharing.

  • Did she say the wrong words at 1:09!

  • I believe she does. Its supposed to be 'addio sospetti'. I'm not sure what actually comes out! But the rest is so superb I think we can forgive her!

  • Pavarotti and Kabaivanska - two artists that complement each other magnificently. What a pitty they did only Tosca together (except for the recitals).

  • Very interesting to hear Anderson in the Musetta role! Although I know she performed "Quando m'en vo" in her recitals around this period. Nice ensemble. Thanks for posting!
