Great song, great presentation. I don't know where these re-written lyrics came from. Someone re-wrote them for a male, but in doing so lost the power and imagery that Janis so lovingly crafted with her original female lyrics. Many men, including Tony Bennett and the like have sang songs like Someone to Watch Over Me, without changing lyrics. And Ella has sang male songs without changing lyrics. I'd invite you to sing this song with the original lyrics and make no apologies. Best of luck to you!
I happen to like the lyrics either way. Everyone has their own opinion. At least Mr. Simeone has a real singing job. Look at his web site, he's booked throughout the year. Keep up the great singing Mr. Simeone!

wonderful performance and song. Janis writes so many great songs that should be standards.
This is such pure, intense singing!
